You can also express subordination by building reduced clauses, which, instead of having finite (conjugated) verbs, make use of verbs in their finite forms: gerúndio (gerund), particípio (past participle) and infinitivo (infinitive).

According to the kind of verbal used, there are three types of reduced clauses:
