This happened from 3rd-7th of January, 2006 at Pune, India. I was so fortunate to participate to this event and to collect an enormous amount of knowledge as a result. Secondly, this visit is verymuch important to me, since it was the first time I have been outside the country and I left alone!

The topic of this workshop was Embedded Systems. Four speakes who are experts in the area presented latest findings and knowledge of the field.

Dr. Gérard Berry
Esterel Technologies, France

Dr. Gerard introduced the Esterel, SCADE and their application scope - avionics!

Professor Kim Larsen
Aalborg University, Denmark

Professor Kim Larsen introduced the model-checker Uppaal and theories behind embedded systems modeling, including, timed automata and priced-timed automata.

Professor Werner Damm
University of Oldenburg, Germany

Modeling a complex embedded system as an engineering decepline is not an easy effort. Professor Warner Damm introduced UML for this kind of effort.

Professor Hermann Kopetz
Technical University of Vienna, Austria

Time is a complicated factor in some embedded systems. Professor Harmann Koptz had lot of things to say about time and models.

We all gathered for a group photo!
