I looked at Washington County high school teacher pages. I'm looking for sites that are clean, easy to navigate, and are useful.
- CCHS Andrus
- fun template with bold colors - not sure it relates to the topic?
- not enough information on the page
- difficult to navigate
It feels like a webpage is the wrong platform. Really, the only public information is the photo page, so the photos should have been on the home page. I would have used a Canvas course for all of the other information.
- DHHS Allred
- fun template, school colors & logos
- easy to navigate
- site is for parents and directs students to Canvas
- his volleyball site has an embedded twitter feed and team pictures
This is a fun site that gives the information that parents need to know about the classes. Students are referred to Canvas, which is appropriate. I like the colors and template of this site (and his volleyball site). The only thing I think I would change is the nav/menu bar with the classes - there is no information there, it just directs to Canvas, so it is not necessary. I would put course descriptions and links to the strands and standards in that location.
- DHHS Quilter
- picture is beautiful - not sure how it relates to the topic
- difficult to navigate
- multiple links to locked or blank/missing pages
- color scheme is good for the desert/geography
It feels like this page is out-of-date and missing a lot of links. I do like the buttons to navigate. I would group the buttons so they were aligned with particular categories.
- DHHS Merick
- fun template, school colors & logos
- easy to navigate
- useful information, calendar, pictures, etc.
- class links look great and are useful for parents
This is a fun site that gives the information that parents need to know about the classes and others need to know about upcoming events and reserving the auditorium. This is one of the most useful teacher websites I have found.
