| Gaited (pronounced Gated) means having more than the 4 basic movements (walk, trot, canter and gallop) they have extra gaites (movements) For eg the Lipizzaner has Walk, Trot, Canter, Gallop, Passage, Piaffe and Pirouette Friesians has walk, trot, canter, gallop, high-step trot etc etc Any other horse eg Arabian, Thoroughbred etc only have the 4 gaits.
