What is PUSO?

PUSO stands for Pilipino Pre-Health Undergraduate Student Organization.It is one of many pre-health clubs on the UCI campus.

PUSO's Mission Statement outlines the purposes that the organization was established to serve. The Mission Statement is the backbone of our organization. It is our task to uphold and breathe life into this mission through our events, programs, and actions.
This organization was established to fulfull the following objectives:
1. To provide service, guidance, and support to pre-health students.
2. To sponsor programs for minority youth to encourage their entrance into health professions.
3. To increase the number of culturally sensitive health care professionals.
4. To serve the campus and the community of Irvine as well as the Pilipino community at large.
5. To spread "PUSO Love".

PUSO is approaching its fifteenth year of existence! How exciting?! PUSO was founded by a group of friends who were interested in Pre-Health professions. It began in 1994 by Aileen Tolentino, Alan Velasco, Genevieve Herreria, and Mike Bernardo.

It looks like spring outside. It's time for Spring Quarter 2009! Have fun but study hard!
