Flyinglady II was my first boat of any kind. She was a 1978 Kells Coaster. Her LOA was 22 1/2 feet. She displaced 2250 lbs. and drafted 2'4" with her shallow draft fixed keel. I paid $2500 for her and sailed her for 5 years and then sold her for $2300. Of course, I put some money and sweat into her along the way; but all in all she was inexpensive fun and diversion. I learned to sail on her after reading Sailing for Dummies. I will always have fond memories of Flyinglady II. (BTW - Flyinglady I was my wife's 1993 Camaro) |
