When you get into this your realize that the research could literally go on forever. If you don't want to make this your life work (and I did not) you have to decide when "finished" is going to be. Since most of my family came before the American Revolution I decided that I would try to trace those family lines back to 1776. For the families that arrived later I would be content to go back to the immigrant ancestor. This seemed a reasonable goal at the time but like any plans involving a large group of people someone has to screw things up! These are my "brick walls". Most of the people in question are at such a late period you would think it would be easy to trace them and the fact that I can't is just so DANG annoying!!! Anyone who can help me get through them will win my undying gratitude.
