My philosophy of education is based on the notion that I believe all students can learn. Some through traditional means of education while others require a more innovative approach. Utilizing such tools as Reading Discovery I believe will only serve to enhance a child's learning process and help them with assessment.
I also believe that students will do some of their most profound learning when the process of education is liked to their own experiences, interest, and capacities. Therefore, although time consuming, for many, tailoring the education process to fit them individually will have a long lasting effect. When students are able to make references and draw analogies with the information they are learning, it will undoubtedly have a longer lasting effect.
Once students become engaged in the learning process it important that they develop problem solving and decision making skills that will facilitate lifelong participation in society.
I also recognize that home is a determining factor in the continuing growth and development of any individual. It is my belief that to endure success it is imperative to coordinate with the home to provide educations; experiences and that parents are actively engaged participants in their child's education.
