It's always fun to bring a new person to the X and a Wild game.  This time I brought Kris - one of my friends from UW-Eau Claire.  He played hockey in high school and had never been to an NHL game.  It was fun to see the Wild battle the Canucks again - especially after last season's playoff series where the Wild overcame a 3-1 deficit to take the best of 7 series from the Canucks.  Always a good rivalry-type game - very physical.

11/22/03                                 5-2 Wild loss to Detroit Red Wings                        Game Recap
11/26/03                                 3-1 Wild loss to Dallas Stars                                    Game Recap
This was my second Stars game of the season, but the first against the Wild.  Us Minnesotans always think that the old Northstars vs. the new Minnesota team is the best match-up of the year.  I was lucky to have two of my favorite hockey buddies at the game with me - Jesse and Kristi.  Jesse just returned from military service in Iraq in September - so it was good to celebrate his homecoming with some ol' time hockey.  Too bad the Wild forgot to show up for the game.  Jesse thinks they had turkey on the brain.  At least we got to see a fight - even if it was a short one.
This was my second Red Wings game of the new season, but this time CuJo was in goal for the Wings.  The Wild were definitely out-skated by the Wings and made costly mistakes and turnovers.  There were lots of empty seats because of the predicted blizzard that was heading towards the Cities.  My buddy Kyle was also at the game - and we were supposed to meet there, but we didn't hook up - maybe next time we'll have a better plan!
11/2/03                                  Wild Super Skills Competition
The Super Skills competition showcased Wild players' skating and puck-handling skills.  Wild players also signed autographs before taking the ice - including Gaborik (who just signed his contract), Antti, Wes, and Darby.  Kristi, Dewey, Jordan and Spencer joined me - the kids loved seeing their favorite players up close (so did Heather and Kristi).
