Chris is of mixed heritage, with some of his family being Loyalian and some being Shynian. He�s a talented and dedicated agent, but has recently suffered a tremendous loss that he needed a few years to recover from. His wife and young son disappeared and yet to be found. The case is still open and Chris is still trying to figure out who is behind the disappearances.
He is intelligent and rather quiet, rarely saying more than a few words at a time and only when it is necessary. This is not to say that he is sullen. On the contrary, he often will smile or tease his companions, but he is serious when he has the need. He is also the only member of the team that works with the Agency full time.
Ezra Standish � undercover specialist, crime scene specialist
Ezra is the son of a con woman from Shynia and a privateer from Mnemoria. Although his father was lost at sea when he was very young, his mother raised him the best way she knew how. Under her tutelage, Standish learned a great deal about how to get people to believe what you are telling them. This gift serves him quite well as an undercover specialist.
When Ezra grew older, he discovered his powers in magic and received training in forensic sorcerery. He uses these skills when he is called upon during a case and has also used them for other purposes. Along with his magic, Ezra is gifted with a quick mind and ready wit. When Ezra is not working on missions for Shynian Intelligence, he is the head writer for a television series called Quentin Masters' Mysteries.
Ophelia - a young elf (looks about eight-years-old) with chestnut hair and green eyes. Ezra found her and took her in to raise her and keep her safe.
Buck Wilmington � crime scene specialist
Buck became interested in crime scene investigations after the death of his younger sister. He helps Ezra with the investigation of crime scenes, specializing in spatter patterns. He�s also been known to use this understanding to explain voids in magic shock residue to Ezra.
He is a cheerful man with a lively temperament and lives with his sister�s son, J.D. In addition to his forensic skills, Buck is quite handy with a gun and skilled in unarmed combat. He is steadfast and loyal to his friends. He also has a job at the Northlake Tavern
J.D. Dunne � He is Buck�s nine-year-old nephew. J.D. is a clever, intelligent child, who can often read a situation quite well. He is cheerful and loves his uncle dearly.
Josiah Sanchez � enforcer, surveillance
Josiah is a gentle man whose broad shoulders make him seem larger than he actually is. He uses both his great strength and his wisdom to protect his companions. Often his friends will come to him for advice or simply to talk out their problems.
He often works closely with Vin, when doing surveillance and is usually able to keep the otherwise brash younger man from going into situations without backup. Underneath his quiet exterior, Josiah has quite a temper. When he�s angered, it�s best to keep out of his way. His full time job is at the Cathedrel of the Imaculate Conception, where he is the sexton.
Vin Tanner � aerial surveillance
No one is quite sure where Vin came from or what his heritage is, but he has become a top-notch agent in recent years. Sometimes he can be a little headstrong and he is often very protective of both Ezra and Chris.
In the field, he uses his powerful wings to fly over an enemy and observe them from above. From this position, he can note enemy movements and numbers, listen in on conversations, locate people who�ve been kidnapped and all while he silently glides overhead. Vin works full time at the Northlake Community Center.
Nathan Jackson � communications, medic
Often, when the rest of the team goes out into the field, Nathan remains at their base to coordinate movements between them. However, he stays as close as he can because he�s the one they call on when any of them are hurt.
Nathan has very definite ideas about what is right and what is wrong and is not afraid to let you know what they are, but he is also a good friend and will never turn down a plea for help. He tends to be quite serious most of the time, but certain members of the team have the ability to bring out his sense of humor. Nathan works at the Northlake Clinic (like a hospital).
