Notes for CLAUDIUS LUCIUS FISK:
Claudius Fisk family is found in the Athens County 1850 census in York Township, page 421 and 422. With Claudius and Jemima are the two youngest, Lavina and Pearly. In the household is Louisa Clements age 50 born in England. Relationship, if any is unknown. Buried in Ashely, Delaware Co., OH. From "Family History and Genealogy of Abraham Knapp, Jr." by Zabriskie? we find that three pieces of property on the Isle of Motte were sold by Jemima and Claudius in February, august and December of 1813. Claudius Lucius served in the War of 1812 in Buffalo. He bought property in Nelsonville, Ohio on April 21, 1818.

Jemima Knapp was born about 1793 in Vermont, probably at Isle of Motte.   Written on the bottom half of the first page of the probate report of the estate of Abraham Knapp, Jr. is the following:   This may certify that I , Jemima Knapp, of Vineyard havin lived my time out with John Borden, agreeable certin Guardianship Bonds, which said John Borden was beholden to the Honorable Judge of Probate for the District of Grand isle.   I am satisfied with and am willing said bond should be given up by said Borden Vineyard, May the __, 1813.
The above addition to the probate record was added at a date later than the original entry on the page as that entry is dated the "First Tuesday of February 1810." This is the only added entry to the original probate record.

Jemima Fisk is living with her daughter and son-in-law, Gersham and Clarissa Newton in the 1880 census, York Township, Athens Co., OH pg. 279D.   It states that she was born in Vermont, her father was born in Vermont and her mother born in New York
