The Ceremony

Miss Angela Dawn Roberts became the bride of Mr. Alberto Alfonso Ortiz III in a beautiful ceremony at 4 p.m. on May 6 at The Smith Chapel of Riverbend Church in Austin, TX.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alberto Gutierrez Ortiz of Round Rock. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfonso and Modesta Rodriguez of Big Spring, TX and Mr. Heriberto and the late Mrs. Michela Ortiz of Crane, TX. The family wore boutonnieres and corsages of white roses and hydrangea.

The groom wore a white mandarin collar coat with a black cravat tie, light pink vest, black pants and shoes. His boutonni�re consisted of two light pink roses.

The bride is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. James Roberts of Giddings and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Allen and the late Mrs. Betty Allen of Frankston and the late Mr. Stanley and Mrs. Jimmie Ruth Roberts of Giddings. The family wore boutonnieres and corsages of white roses and hydrangea.b>

The bride wore an ivory, exclusively fashioned, formal gown with a fitted bodice overlaid with clusters of black and white sequins and beading. It featured an elaborate black design down the back and chapel length train. Her elbow length bridal veil was secured to a rhinestone tiara. The bride carried a clutch bouquet of light pink roses and hydrangea tied with a sheer white ribbon. She was given away by her father, James Roberts.

Rev. James Roberts, pastor of Clark Baptist Church and Deacon Ray James of St. Teresa�s Catholic Church, performed the ceremony. Music was performed by Elisio Quartet. During the ceremony, several rituals were performed in honor of the Hispanic Catholic faith.

Six red roses were placed on the grand piano in memory of the family who have passed. Mr. Stanley Roberts, grandfather of the bride, Mrs. Betty Allen, grandmother of the bride, Mr. Alfonso and Mrs. Modesta Rodriguez, grandparents of the groom, Mrs. Michela Ortiz, grandmother of the groom and Mr. Delfino Lopez, uncle of the groom.
