| She nodded absently trying to remain nonchalant. She knew that she should just drop this topic that could possibly end their tumultuous relationship but that wasnt her. Shes been pretty busy lately I hear Shes taking classes again and from what Jack tells me shes really concentrating on the various academic texts. Thats great. He replied trying to sound disinterested in the conversation hoping that she got the hint. She waited a moment And when shes not reading on some pedagogical topic, shes spending all her free time with Dawson, which I can kind of understand being that hes the one that kept her from leaving He did a pretty amazing thing dont you think? She asked. He shrugged. I guess if you call asking her to give up something incredible for him, amazing. He retorted. Yeah I think that is pretty amazing dont you? He sighed and stood up needing the space. Maybe you want to give me some hint on where this conversation is headed instead of tip-toeing around the point and asking me insubstantial questions waiting for some kind of response. She exhaled deeply putting her book down. Okay how about what do you think about Dawson asking Andie to stay in Capeside? Because obviously its making you feel something Pacey! Oh really and what would that be? Seeing that you seem to know my moods better then I do? I dont know Pacey, maybe a little angry. Angry about what? Im glad that Andie is still here. I am ecstatic that she didnt get on that plane and fly across the world. Its nice to still have some honest untainted optimism in this town right now because I must admit, we need it! So what in the world do I have to be angry about? He asked frustrated. Oh I dont know maybe because you like being the pessimistic male of Capeside that can wallow in his own misery. Or maybe because you wanted to take over the role of being the new pollyannaish voice of Capeside or maybe just maybe youre upset because you didnt ask her to stay. You tell me which one it is. She stated blankly. When he simply stared at her with no words she took that as her answer. Maybe you should go. She remarked quietly not wanting to deal with this right now. He nodded knowing that was probably the best move at the moment. Packing up his books he leaned over and kissed her cheek. Ill see you later. He replied and then walked out. Leery Household Andie knocked insistently on the door. She was overly excited and needed to get this off her chest before she lost her nerve. After a few moments Mitch came to the door with the baby in his arms. Andie hey. Come on in. He instructed opening the door wider for her. She followed him inside and closed the door behind her. Hey, Mr. Leery. She stated casually. She was no stranger to this house, not after spending most of her entire summer prior her senior year in this house with Dawson and his family. She continued to follow him to the front room where he placed Lilly down in her bassinet. Turning to her he smiled. She should be out like a light in about two minutes. She just had her bottle. Shes just like her older brother was still is for that matter. You feed him and in a few moments hes out. He joked with a small quiet laugh. She smiled. Speaking of your son would he be upstairs? She asked. He shook his head. No he went on a date with Gretchen. I think they were off to see a movie. He stated nonchalantly. She stood there for a moment feeling her heart stop for a moment before she regained the ability to breathe once again. Oh. She remarked. Is there anything that I can help you with? She shook her head quickly. No its nothing important. I just wanted to borrow his Trigonometry notes for tomorrow. But you know what it can wait. Thanks though. She said heading for the door needing to get out of there. Okay. Well, Ill tell him that you came by. He remarked walking her to the door. Or not Its no big deal. Ill just see him in school tomorrow. By Mr. Leery. She waved as she stepped outside into the crisp Fall air. Closing her eyes she took a moment to get herself together and then walked off not sure of where she was going. Capeside Movie House Laughing they stepped onto the cement pavement as they exited the movie house. Gretchen buried her hands inside her pockets as she walked beside Dawson. Okay so tell me again why it was necessary that we go and see that particular movie? She asked. It was cinematic must. He replied with a smile. A House of a Thousand Corpses was a cinema must-see? Okay youre going to have to elaborate on that one for me. There was nothing but mutilated carcasses and a never ending stream of entrails and plasma. You actually saw the mutilated corpses? Im surprised. The way you had your hands over your eyes for the entire movie led me to believe that you hadnt seen anything more then the opening credits. He remarked. She hit him playfully in the arm. Very humoring, Dawson! The truth of the matter is that movie sucked. I mean do you even remember what the story line was? She asked. He remained silent for a moment and then shook his head. No but thats not the point. And if I recall I wasnt the one who insisted that we see a movie on the spur of the moment without checking the movie times. It was the only one that hadnt started an hour into it. |
