Appearance:

Yvonne Washington has dirty blonde hair which would reach her shoulders if she ever let it down. Most of the time, however, she keeps it up in a ponytail, usually the same ponytail for a week or so in between showers, so it tends to get ratty with so little brushing. She has a straight nose and easily narrowed eyes, pale skin and light freckles on her cheeks, nose, shoulders and arms.
Skinny doesn't properly describe Yvonne simply because everything beneath her skin is muscle, despite the fact that there's little between skin and bone. She's a little taller than most girls her age, and lanky, fit for hard labor and hard play.
Most days, she wears one of about six t-shirts she owns (long and short sleeve), and either her worn, half-shredded jeans or her worn, half-shredded overalls. About three pairs of white socks circulate, and recently she's been forced to wear a child's training bra out of sheer need; she was too embarrassed to talk to her mother about it, so over the summer flew her broom to a nearby city and stole the training bra from a department store there.
Yvonne is usually dirty from Quidditch, or from spending most of her time in Braddock's Paths. She always wears her robes.

Personality Quirks:

The word "straight-forward" describes Yvonne well. She doesn't like masks or fallacies, and therefore comes off as extremely stand-offish, not to mention serious. Even among her siblings she tends to be the more simple, straight-talking one. She likes to play with them, but in small doses and mostly when the games are war-like games, such as Capture the Flag or Survival (though, they've created their own names for those games) . . . she'll get really into those, putting on war paint and usually taking one of the top spots when all is said and done.

Family Life:

As dearly as Yvonne loves her family, she is the oldest of ten kids, and has raised half of them entirely on her own. Her parents spend most of the day working, and so Yvonne was left to take care of the house . . . now that the triplets are older (the next oldest kids), they do a lot of the childcare and Yvonne helps out her family on their land. Clara, Trude and Laura are the second, third and fourth children. Gordon is the fifth, Bareneby the sixth, Laurence the seventh, Buddy the eighth, Molly the ninth, and little Samuel is the youngest.
Needless to say, one middle-sized house in the country and ten children makes for no privacy at all, and usually Yvonne doesn't mind. The only thing she protects fiercely from her younger siblings (and her cousins, more than four dozen of them) is her hunting rifle. It serves as her sole way of releasing a lot of the tension she carries, not to mention the only positive aspect to the adulthood she owns for the most part already. None of the other kids are allowed to touch her gun, enforced entirely by Yvonne herself, and she keeps it at Penn State over the year for safekeeping.

Fears:

It would be incorrect to say that Yvonne feared something on a daily basis. Usually what most people consider fear channels into anger or frustration. For instance, her stem emotion to any harm to one of her little siblings isn't the intial fear of it happening, but the anger triggered by the action itself. The time she had the most genuine fear in her life was when Deputy Headmaster Grace nearly sent her gun home after she shot Professor Bronson, because she knew that the moment the rifle arrived back home, nine little hands would be all over it and her most valued possession would be gone.

Hopes:

Yvonne hopes that her younger siblings will prove magical and join her at Penn U so she can take care of them. She hopes that after graduation she can use some of the magic she learned to help her in her work every day, instead of leaving it behind entirely.

Interests:

Hunting, Quidditch, winning, nature, birds, animals.

Talents:

Captaining (more so than playing Quidditch itself), shooting things, physical labor.

Her Dorm Room:

Like it was when she first moved in, except now there's a gun under the bed.

Other:

One of the scales from the dragon she helped shoot down in her second year is now in her grandfather's cabin.
