Appearance:

Dom has brown hair that is starting to turn grey. He has green eyes, which become surrounded with wrinkles when he genuinely smiles. He is average height and still quite slender, but the middle-aged-man's potbelly is beginning to show if he wears clothes that are too small for him.

Personality Quirks:

Good natured with a sense of humour that makes him chuckle even at jokes that are not even funny. He knows how to lead a team and not alienate anyone in the process of him taking charge.

Family Life:

Dom married at 26 and had a son within a year. With family around, he could never become bored. He was happy. But it wasn't to last. Within six years of early retirement, his wife died, leaving him to bring up their nine year old son by himself. His wife's death shattered his heart but he had to keep going for Ryan. Then Ryan grew up and went to Hogwarts. At least they had summers and Christmases to spend together. Then Ryan graduated and left for America. Time had gone so fast and left Dominic behind. All he did now was spend time in the small cottage garden, repairing the cracked, creaky and broken parts the cottage itself with his wand in-between Ryan's 6 monthly visits.
It was Ryan who had finally coaxed him out off the repetitive cycle he had found himself in. It was Ryan who had found Dominic this job and convinced him to leave England, go to America and coach once again.
During the vacations, Dom will stay at Ryan's home and be with his three grandchildren.

History:

Many, many years ago, Dominic was a famous Quidditch player. He was only 23 when he was forced to retire from playing because of his mishap. He had thrown the Quaffle to hard and damaged his spine. A 'wobbly spine' the Mediwizard had called it. Dominic could have come up with that term himself. He had laughed when he heard it, but not for long because laughing (back then) brought the pain back ten fold. The pain it had caused has all but gone now - only once in a blue moon it will strike him down. But he exterminates the agony it causes with potions.
But he hadn't left the game for long. He couldn't stand being a bachelor, living off the fortune he had already made in his short career. So he had gone back to his Coach and begged for some kind of job on the Quidditch pitch, even if it was just levitating water bottles to players during time-outs. The Coach had done better then that, he had made Dominic his assistant. And within 5 years, Dominic took over the coaching job altogether and had the team at the top of their league just before his 30th birthday.
It didn't last. Sure, he had taken them to the top, stayed there a while but when the new season began and they didn't get off to a good start and barely recovered for the rest of the year, Dominic was fired. He thought mid-table wasn't too bad. But he was wrong. They had him out off his job faster then he had ever scored in his life.
But he had his millions to live on. And live on them he did. It wasn't like before. He had a family now.
