Appearance:

Rhianna is almost absolutely average in appearance--of a middling height, with dark brown/black hair, and not very much distinctive about her, save her vividly green eyes. Always seen carrying a Muggle style pen and a small notebook; almost never seen carrying a wand. Usually her robe pockets can be found to hold some sort of vial of potion.

Personality Quirks:

Rhianna seems to be almost incapable of human emotion. She looks at life through a microscope and sees human actions as little more than things to be studied. She also takes note of almost everything in a small notebook.

Family Life:

Rhianna lives with her mother and father in a small town up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Although her maternal grandparents just died, she was not close to them and is thus far unaffected by the consequences of their deaths. Unbeknownst to Rhianna, her paternal grandmother is pressuring her parents to give up custody of Rhianna so that the Tarens can receive the Vermayes fortune when Astera Vermayes-Taren and Richard Taren (Rhianna's parents) die.

History:

Astera Vermayes, Rhianna's mother, was born in Boulder, Colorado, an eighth generation pureblood. She grew up in the family owned housing complex in the area among none but the best wizards and witches. She was homeschooled in the arts of magic, mostly because her family was too snobbish to concede the tutelage of their precious daughter to an institution where Muggle-borns and half-bloods were. At seventeen, she was betrothed to Richard Taren of Pennsylvania, whom she married a year later. Three years after their marriage, Astera gave birth to their first and only child, Rhianna. During her first seven years of life, Astera studied to become a Professor of Muggle Studies. Her family was irritated by this and exiled her, her husband, and their child to live in a small town in the Rockies.
Rhianna had a relatively quiet life in the Rockies, attending a Muggle school and experimenting on her schoolmates. She was only permitted to maintain attendance due to the large donations her parents provided. Knowing no children who she perceived as on level with herself, Rhianna grew up unattached and more interested in her studies than play. Rhianna gained admittance to Penn U, an East Coast magical school, when she was eleven. There, she met several students whom she perceived as intelligent and assisted her with her work. The summer after her first year, her maternal grandparents died, leaving the family fortune to Astera. The Tarens, long having shunned their son and daughter-in-law, are beginning to take an interest in them and their daughter in the hopes of grabbing the Vermayes fortune for themselves.

Fears:

That she will never be a satisfactory magical researcher and her parents will be disappointed.

Hopes:

To become a stellar researcher and become famous and be left alone forevermore to experiment on wizards and Muggles alike.

Interests:

Human behaviour. Books. Potions.

Talents:

Making people want to murder her for reasons she cannot comprehend.

Her Dorm Room:

Her dormroom is neat and tidy. However, under her bed resembles a war zone. There are potions ingredients, collapsible cauldrons, fire starting kits, and god knows what else lurking under there.

Other:

Rhianna has hypothesised that Headmaster Devon Grace is a mad ax-murderer. She is inept at anything to do with wands, marvelous with potions, and completely hopeless when it comes to most social interaction.
