Appearance:

Naavi is of Japanese decent on her fathers side so had inherited a pair of large, expression filled black eyes and a small nose, clear, pale skin and black hair. Though most people dont really know what she looks like apart from her eyes and a bit of her nose as she wears cloths of red around her head when in public along with her school robes. Shes slender and petite and always clutches her silken shawls and such to her like a lifeline.
However, recently she likes to carry her shawls around in her bag, or loosely drapped across her shoulders because she finds she's growing a little bit more confident.

Personality Quirks:

Naavi is generally shy outside of the Prophets Children compound, but when by herself or with others of her beliefs (cult) she is more open and laughs a lot. Shes somewhat brain washed from having grown up with her mother in the compound and doesnt quite understand the world outside yet. She doesnt talk to boys and avoids them altogether because of her religious beliefs.
However, since meeting Everett Prence, she's come out of her shell a little bit more and talks to him even though she is still nervous around other guys. She also tries to be more talkative and outgoing.

Family Life:

Shes lived in the Prophets Children compound all her life and had never ventured out until coming to the school. She was raised by her mother and her "sisters" which are the women that share the house they live in on the compound. Her "sisters" are Loanne, Cassida, Vanity, Sukii, Tory, Visity and Rhia. She doesnt know their real names, as theyre told to forget them upon joining the cult. Though her given name is Nyoko, her mother moved them into the compound soon after her 3 birthday and remembers only being called "Naavi" from that point onward.
Her father left her mother at pregnancy, which was one of the reasons she chose to enter in the Prophets Children family.
Her dad had been trying to contact her for a few years now, and seems worried about her for being in Prophet's Children and is fighting to gain custody of her. Naavi was at first scared to contact him, but now entertains the idea because she's starting to realize the oddities of the group. During Christmas she was put in the Quiet Room for a great length of time because she'd told her mother about being friends with Everett and what she'd been up to at school.

History:

Naavi had always been favored by their leader "Eurydice" and was even granted the name "Eury" in honor of that bond to the older women. The reason for such favoritism is because Naavi has a speck of light brown in her left eye that Eurydice says is blood from the Great Mother.
When she received her letter from penn u, Eurydice told Naavi this would be an opportunity for the Great Mothers faith to spread into other parts of the world, and into other backgrounds because her connection to the wizarding world opened up a new, large amount of people that they had previously been unable to touch. Naavi is often told that she carried a great responsibility in spreading the amazing word of The Great Mother which puts a lot of weight on her shoulders.
Normally, all girls in the compound have what they call "a guardian" to take care of them. The boys of the religion live just outside the compound and one of the same age is picked for every girl born into Prophets Children. That boy is meant to guard the women when they go into public. They are also the only males that girl can talk to, and eventually are the ones they produce offspring with.
But Naavi, a witch, is not able to have one because there are no boys born as wizards on the compound.

Fears:

Boys, the outside world, water (or anything that lives under the water).

Hopes:

To have a normal life.

Interests:

Reading, writing, dancing and singing.

Talents:

Singing and dancing.

Her Dorm Room:

Neat and tidy. She doesnt own much in the way of decorations besides her statue of "the great mother" which is customary of every Prophets Children to have one. She hung the picture of the farm Everett gave her on her wall.

Other:

Naavi has always wanted a cat, but they are not permitted on the compound. She also carried around a tin of sour candies which she adores.
