Appearance:

Everett is a round-faced boy with curly, chestnut hair and blue eyes. During the summertime he always ends up with a smattering of freckles across his nose and cheekbones. When he grins, he's all cheeks and teeth--older women often find this endearing, so he's especially weary of cheek-pinchers. He's short and not particularly athletic, but he has a kind of graceful ease about him. His mother insists that his father was that way until he turned fifteen, and then he hit a growth spurt and thinned out. Everett is secretly counting down the day until this happens. He really hopes it will.

Personality Quirks:

Hes a very easy-going, good-natured kid, mostly due to the fact that he hails from a large household and often finds himself playing the mediator. He's not at all shy, but he doesn't always go out of his way to make introductions, either. He has a unique sense of humor and often approaches situations differently than one normally would, although this does not always prove to be beneficial.
Funnily enough, Everett still leads an active Muggle lifestyle. He prefers gel pens to quills and has a number of composition books for writing because when he writes on parchment his lines go crooked and slanty. Hed rather stand on his tiptoes, grunting in exasperation, to reach for something than summon it down, and he really misses primetime television. Wearing robes still makes him feel like hes in a dress, and though hes finally mastered riding a broom, he misses his bicycle dearly.

Family Life:

Everetts parents divorced when he was young, and his mother remarried three years ago. He, his sister Jane, and his brother Kent all live with his mother in rural Illinois. He likes his step dad well enough, and has a new younger sister, Beth, who just turned two. Life was pretty normal before he received his acceptance letter to Pennsylvania State, and hed even gotten a job as a newspaper delivery boy to make a little extra money. Sadly, he had to give the job to Jane when he left for school.
Everetts dad, also a resident of rural Illinois, moved about an hour away after the divorce. Because he is a construction worker, he is often busy and only sees the kids once or twice per month. Despite that, Everett looks up to him and writes him often. He wants to move in with his dad during the summer between his second and third year, and is slowly working up to propositioning his mother, stepfather, and dad about it.

History:

Everett is your average 12-year-old boy, and had attended a normal, public elementary school in Illinois before beginning at Penn State.

Fears:

That he will fail at wizard life. He has also had nightmares about Professor Linfield shrieking over shards of broken glass and giving him detention until hes forty-two.

Hopes:

That he can adjust to the magical lifestyle and become a successful wizard by the time he graduates. He also hopes that his dad will come visit him sometime.

Interests:

Foodparticularly strange food combinations. He also has a knack for story telling, and keeps a journal with filled with his views on the various things hes witnessed and heard around school.

Talents:

Making people laughat him, with him, it doesnt matter.

His Dorm Room:

Because he is the only male second year in Quesne, he has spread his belongings throughout his dorm room. His room isnt dirty, but nothing really has a specific place. There is, contrary to belief, a method to his madness, and only he understands it.
