Appearance:

Aleksandra has pale skin, deep brown hair and blue eyes. She doesnt ever wear anything fancy, and mostly wears hoodies. Her family cant really afford nice clothes.

Personality Quirks:

Aleksandra is a very outgoing and happy girl, up for anything. Only... this is sometimes hampered by her "allergy" to light. She doesnt like going outdoors, and pins dark fabrics over the windows to the dormroom to ward off the sunlight. Also, she worries if her English is good enough, as she has a strong Ukranian accent and she doesnt speak perfect English yet.

Family Life:

Her father is the wizard in the family, and they moved from a small village in the Ukrain to America after her father lost his ministry job there. She lives with her muggle mother, her wizard father and her witch Bubba (grandmother).

History:

Aleksandra was brought to America at a young enough age that she could learn the language fairly easily, but still has difficulty with it. Originally, she did not want to leave her friends shed made at the muggle school in her new home town, but her father told her she had to.
They came from a village along the Ukrain border, too small to be on the maps. They lived in an upper story apartment over a bread shop where she grew up until the age of 9.
Her mother now works for a bakery, and her father has a small job with the American ministry of magic.

Fears:

Sunlight, her parents finding out if she gets in trouble

Hopes:

To make lots of friends. To learn English properly.

Interests:

Reading, potions, COMC, language.

Talents:

Nothing too special. Or that shes figured out yet.

Her Dorm Room:

She sleeps under very dark blankets she brought from home, and uses her pillowcase as a block on the window. Her clothes are scattered across her bed a good portion of the time, along with books in Russian and Ukranian under and on her bed.

Other: She bites her lips when shes nervous and uses her families trunk they brought with them from the Ukrain. It - like most of her stuff - is really old.
