<<Pokemon Avenue>>
<<Ruby / Sapphire - 2-on-2 Battles>>
Like in the previous 6 versions, there will be the classic one-on-one Pokemon battles.  Since the GBA has a much wider screen than that of the GBC, there will be more room for backgrounds depending on the area you battle in, better-looking attacks, and a new 2-on-2 battle feature.
The 2-on-2 battle feature will allow the first two Pokemon in your party to battle against an opponent's two Pokemon.  Each trainer chooses moves for both of their Pokemon, and who to attack, then all four attack in one round.  Let me explain things more thoroghly:

As I said before, each trainer chooses a move for each of their Pokemon, and then who to attack.
For example, you choose Crunch for Samehadda, and next choose whether you're going to attack the opponent's Pellipper or Wailmer.
You must know that the attacks will be dealt in the order of speed.  So the fastest of the four Pokemon in battle will attack first, second would be the second fastest, then the third fastest, and then the fourth fastest.
One more thing - some attacks may hit both of the opponent's Pokemon!  Surf and Blizzard are a couple of those kind of attacks.
