In last time there were about 190 university students from all the faculties of university of peradeniya have joined with us. Though it was not rainy a cooly day. The started 7th peak has a shape of a lizerred back born and so it is called 'katusu konda'. There was a littel drizzling even when we start to climb it. so it was not easy.Through tea states and jungle .................. with lot of thick and things, sometimes using a rope also we went forword. At the top a heavy snow as well as a strong wind was scattered all over the place so that no one can got stand up on katusu konda . To avoid falling from it everyone has to sit down on the rock and pass it carfully.ohh...............what an experience it was!. You beleive that some are got cried?
Any way rest of the part was not too difficult. Passed several peaks climbing up and climbing down, that long queue may sceened as a group of ants in a line looking for there homes in hurry.How ever it was midnight when we finish our hike.
Hanthana full-range hike is considered as the first and compulsury activity under the new committee of HCS. Usually this is a one day hike and it is possible to cover the ful-range during the day.
