Introducing Dr Joseph Stowell
Dr Joe Stowell is the Bible teacher for Strength for the Journey, a teaching ministry of RBC Ministries,
USA. Dr Stowell serves on the board of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and was formerly the
president of the Moody Bible Institute.
His prevailing passions are to express the heart of the gospel by keeping Christ preeminent in all of life;
to embrace the body of Christ across colour and class distinctions; and to focus attention on ministry
needs in the urban centres, as well as global needs and trends.
An internationally recognized conference speaker and author, Joe has written numerous books including the
daily devotional Strength for the Journey, The Trouble with Jesus, Following Christ, and his latest
release, Simply Jesus and You.
Joe is a graduate of Cedarville University and Dallas Theological Seminary and was honoured with a doctor
of divinity degree from The Master's College in 1987. He and his wife Martie are the parents of three adult
children and ten grandchildren. They make their home in suburban Chicago.
