Health and Beauty Exercise is the NZ branch of the Fitness League in the UK (formerly the Women's League of Health and Beauty). Classes here began in 1937 and are now held in most areas of Auckland, also South Auckland and Hamilton. All teachers are fully qualified in movement as well as anatomy and physiology and hold the Bagot Stack Teachers Diploma.
The weekly classes are medically approved and accompanied by music in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. During a year the different classes get together for rallies and socials, and occassionally there is the opportunity to visit overseas groups. |
