Now before you panic seeing the amount of rules we have read them and trust me when I say they are needed. I have a lot of league experience in this.

Rules System�Taken from many leagues on the internet today we will work with a 3 strike system. Just like the saying in baseball goes. �Three strikes and your out.� Note this rule does not apply when it comes to taking stats.
Respecting Others�This is the NFL not NCAA. You get no extra points or better playoff position for running up the score. Running up the score on an opponent will not be tolerated. It�s as easy as that don�t do it.
Filing Complaints�The Forum is not a place for you to post any issues you might have with other owners. If you should feel a rule was broken or something was done to offend you the way to handle it is to email me. ([email protected]). Anything written in the forum will be deleted and the complaint will not be heard until an email is filed. NOTE�If someone is breaking the rules or you have a complaint you STILL finish the game and get the stats. Failure to finish the game and or get the stats will result in your removal and not his. (See Stats Below)
No Huddle�You can ONLY use the no huddle offense in the following situations.
1) Your down 14 or more points in the game.
2) There is less then 2 minutes left in the half or the 4th quarter.
Players In Motion--- At this time we have no rules when it comes to putting players in motion. HOWEVER this is subject to change if we find a flaw in it as there has been in previous versions of madden.
Changing Plays At The Line� Otherwise known as audibles. You can change your play one time at the line per down. Once you chance to a new play you must stick with that play. For that reason be sure to set your audibles ahead of time. Calling a second audible is not permitted during the same down unless your opponent agrees to let you do so.
Moving Defensive Players�This is a simple rule and should be very easy to follow. You are allowed to move one player manually to where ever you want on the field. HOWEVER you must play as that player until the snap of the ball. The only way you are allowed to move multiple players around on defense if using the in game shift and motions buttons provided by Madden.
Substitutions�To make changes to your depth chart this can be done before the kickoff, or at the half. Any other roster changes can be made using the Madden Packages button only. NOTE�When editing the depth chart players can only play positions that they are listed as in the game. So sorry no Vick at running back.
Goal Line Offense and Defense�Goal line Offense and Defense can only be used in the following situations.
1) Anytime there is less then 2 yards to go.
2) On either side of the 10 yard line.
Running Clock�With the games only being five minute quarters the time each person has the ball is limited as it is. With that said you can only run the clock down with less then two minutes left in the 2nd quarter and 4th quarter. No other time is permitted.
The Michael Vick Rule--- What�s this? It is nothing there is no Michael Vick rule. Every league I have ever been in you have people who moan and groan because when they play the Falcons the owner constantly is running around with Michael Vick and they can�t stop them. Well too bad. He does it in the NFL so he can do it here. It is called adjusting and learning how to play the game. That is what I feel makes the game so great. It takes more then just picking up a controller to get good. Chance your defense up learn how to stop him. It�s called strategy.
Real Life Injuries�It is enough work as it is to run a league with out adding anything extra in to the fold. With that said we will allow people to use any player they wish who madden leaves on the roster updates. Very simple if T.O is on the Eagles then he can use him.
4th Down Rule�We are going for realism here. This is not NFL Blitz. You may go for it on 4th down in the following situations. Any other time then what is listed below you must punt of kick the field goal.
1) Anytime it is 4th and 2 or less and you are on your opponents side of the field.
2) Anytime it is the 4th quarter and you are down.
Play Calling�Again with the theme of going for realism we have to set some kind of rules. Now who am I to tell people how much they should run or pass? Nobody that is why I won�t. However still must put something in there so this does not turn into a lob pass fest. Please try and mix up your plays. No team in the NFL throws the ball 45 yards on every play. No team throws the same across the field pattern every down. Change it up if you want to throw on every down fine. Just mix up the plays.
Scheduling Games�Each member will play TWO games per week. You can also try and set the game up using AIM however even though everyone has it not everyone uses it. Not playing games on time due to lack of effort is a quick way to get your self removed from this league. There is a way to protect yourself from the he said she said dispute that always comes up when it comes to games not being played. By posting in the forums you are letting me know that u are making an effort. So if you want to protect yourself and be able to say you tried to setup the game be sure to try and set it up in the forums. Going thru emails or AIM services does not protect you.
NOTE FOR ABOVE�One more thing, Please when you post in the forum to setup your game do not post something like. Hit me up on aol or something like email me. That never gets anywhere. Post something like. Hey I can play so and so days at so and so times. Then the other person can post what times are good to match up.
Schedule�There is no preseason!!! Games will start with week 1 and 2 of regular NFL schedule.
Following Seasons�After each season we will continue on to play another season until it gets close to the time when the next version of the game comes out. Our goal is to play as many seasons as possible until 2007 version hits stores.
Keeping Your Team�After each season every player will be given the option to keep there team and draft for a new one. If you choose the draft option you will be placed in a draft pool with any other owners who decided to draft a new team. What teams and who are gonna be in this draft will be kept a mystery until the draft begins. Giving it short of a risk factor to try and change. The draft order will go from worst to first of the teams entering the draft from the previous season.
Taking Stats�The following is the procedure on how to take stats following the game.
1) Get a pen and paper and write them down in a notebook.

What Stats To Take Down--- The following listed below are all the stats that must be taken down at the end of the game. Each team gets there OWN PLAYERS STATS. Winning team takes BOTH TEAMS----TEAM STATS HOWEVER. See Below.
Winner of the game takes the TEAM stats for both teams. Which stats those are listed below.
1) Final Score (Post the points by quarter).

4) Total Passing Yards
5) Turnovers (This is how many each team had NOT caused)
6) Total Yards Allowed

Not Taking Stats�Failure to take stats will result in your removal plain and simple. With the fact that when the game is over and you hit end game it actually asks you if you want to really exit there can be no I logged out by mistake.
Online Disconnections
There are times when in the middle of a game connection can be lost. Now it is almost impossible to tell if the person pulled the plug (Unless they have a track record) or if it was the server. In the event of a disconnection the following is the procedure.
1) Write down the score
2) Write down the quarter and amount of time remaining in that quarter.
3) Take the time left and play one quarter with that many minutes two if needed. Person who had the ball gets the kickoff.
4) Write down the player stats you are able to get. If you can get them both after the disconnection and after completion just add them together.
Example of above rules
It is 14-3 in the 3rd quarter with 3 minutes left and the game goes down. Play one quarter for 8 minutes. And add the score together.
NOTE---If at anytime the game goes down with less then 4 minutes to go in the game. Write down the score and time and email me ASAP and tell me the situation. That way if you were about to take the lead and the game went down towards the end we can take a note to watch out for the people involved incase it was a suspicious act.
Headsets
While headsets are not required it does help to have one. Being able to talk to your opponent if something needs to be said is big. This is a league for fun and to meet people not to avoid people or use the excuse I need to concentrate when I play. Concentrate on what ? We don�t pay you.
Final Thoughts
While there might be a lot of rules here and some might read these and say what is this I am not gonna play with all these rules. Well that is your right but understand this. I have played in leagues for the playstation 2. And one thing is for sure if you do not have these rules people will break all of them. Trust me I have seen it all.. You would not believe some of the things I have seen people try. And if we want realism we need rules. It might seem like a lot at first but once you played a few games and know them inside and out you will not even remember how long they were.
