About Me!
My name is Rebecca Timmons. I'm 26 years old and currently live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. However, I'm not originally from Canada. I was born in North Carolina, but moved at the age of 2, so I have no memory of living there. I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a gorgeous city that is home to the University of Michigan. At the age of 18, I moved to East Lansing, Michigan to attend Michigan State University as a Theatre major. After graduating, I moved to Canada and married my husband, Jeff. We lived in Hamilton for about two years - a city about an hour from Toronto. We spent two years living in the USA, in Park City, Utah, a famous ski resort town which hosts the Sundance film festival, and hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics. Most recently, we spent 6 months living in London, England before returning to Canada to finally settle down for awhile.

I love theatre, which is probably obvious from my major in university. I became interested in musical theatre when I was 11, after hearing the original cast recording of 'Phantom of the Opera'. I began studying dance, and a few years later added voice lessons as well. I auditioned for my first show when I was 14, a production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and became the youngest member of the cast. I went on to major in theatre at Michigan State, where I also had a minor in dance and a concentration in voice at the MSU school of music. Since then, I've continued performing and working in theatre. While in Park City, I worked for the Egyptian Theatre Company (a regional equity house) as a performer, teacher, front of house, and generally anything that needed doing! In England, I had a fantastic time working front of house in the West End, primarily for the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Having recently returned to Toronto, I've just taken a position with a company that provides ticketing systems to major theatres in Toronto, Las Vegas, New York City, and London. Of course, I'll be auditioning for shows as well, to keep me out of trouble when I'm not at work!

I'm also a big Phantom 'Phan', and have been ever since that fatal encounter at the age of 11. I met my husband, Jeff, seeing Phantom in Toronto, and had a Phantom themed wedding in 2002. At last count, I've seen the show 54 times in different cities and countries around the world, and have no plans to stop doing so anytime soon. It's a big part of who I am, and thankfully, my husband is just as big a phan as I am!
The insanity continues....
