The insanity continues....
It was Phantom that originally got me interested in learning about the 19th century. I love the Victorian era - particularly the 1880's, and I'm especially interested in French and English culture during that time. I've become slightly obsessed with the women's clothing of that era, and happen to own some replicas of late 19th century clothing - I've even managed to find excuses to wear them! My sympathy to those seen in public with me while I was wearing them...

Of course,  it would only be fitting then that the person I most admire would be from that time period. For those who know me, I'm sure you've guessed I'm referring to Joseph Merrick - and for those who don't know that name you've more likely heard him referred to as the Elephant Man. He was truly an extraordinary person who never let the actions of others toward him bring him down. He overcame obstacles that would overwhelm most of us.  He opened peoples eyes to the realization that what makes us human is what's inside of us - not what we see on the outside. Through all of it, he was kind, generous, and always dignified. I only wish I were as brave as he was.

Aside from that, I have a lovely family, most of whom (aside from my Canadian in-laws!) still live in the USA. My father is a doctor, and lives in Park City, Utah. My mother is a nurse and has recently relocated to Asheville, North Carolina, with her three cats Jasmine, JJ, and Annabelle. My sister, funny enough, has also relocated to Asheville, North Carolina, which came about completely independently of my mother moving there. My sister is also a graduate from the MSU department of theatre, and is currently working for the Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre (a regional equity house). She relocated with her cat, Miranda.

Jeff and I have an adorable cat named
Oulou who is 4 years old. She was a Christmas present in 2001. We also have a cat named TuttyFrutty(*not* TuityFruity - it's pronounced as it's spelled) who is three and a half.

I think that's about it! I hope you enjoy your visit!
