Haygood House Background

In 1990, after 20 years of operating an antiques store, Master Craftsman, Anthony Gergely was concerned avout the various products used by his clients to clean and preserve the various pieces of furniture he restored for them.  When he learned that 800 children die each year from injesting cleaners in the home and that many wood cleaning products were toxic, flammable, and contained solvents, silicones, and petrolleum distillates, he was determined to find an environmentally safe product for home use.
