Once Again

Here I am once again
Holding back all I feel
keeping it locked, deep with in
To protect my soul, hardening my heart
With out, I can't be whole
As the day's go by, I'll play my part
I'll block out thoughts 
I should've from the start
All the hurt that I've felt, over the years
I've never had to try so hard, to hold back the tears
There's a tightness in my chest 
All the things we've shared
Our time was the best
My love grew for you, I truly care 
Not knowing what to do or how, I'll ever rest
I feel as if, I've died
Lost as if out to sea, tossed by the tide
Upon the shore so wide
Life will never be the same
With out you by my side or having you to confide
