Okay, here is what you (presumably) came
to see: the story. This story is still in the writing process,
so updates will be added as I finish writing them and going over
them with a fine-toothed comb. Please give feedback after
you read what's currently here; any feedback, good or bad will
do, as long as it's constructive in some way. Just telling me,
"Your writing sucks" doesn't help me to improve. Being
specific about what you didn't like (or what you did) lets me
know what's working and what isn't.
For readers concerned with content, I would probably rate this story (at least what's been done thus far) as a PG-13. There's nothing overtly horrible, no real bad language to speak of, no explicit sex, but the subject of child abuse is dealt with, so take that as you will.
I make no claims with regard to the accuracy of any medical information that appears here. I do try to research the medical aspects of my stories, but I have had no formal medical training, so I'm really working off of what I've learned in anatomy/biology classes and what I find on internet-based medical sources. If I get the diagnosis/symptoms/treatment of a particular illness wrong, I either got bad information or I took some literary license. Whichever the case, try to bear with me here, since I'm not claiming to be a knowledgable medical professional by any stretch of the imagination.
With all of that said, onto the story! I've gotten a fourth chapter written, edited and posted now, and the fifth is well on its way- I don't know that it'll be up before Friday, but given the weekend, it should probably be ready for posting by then.
