Just got back from another softball game in Jerome. We played there on Tuesday too, but had to forfeit. The problem was that not all of us arrived before 5:30. (that was when the game started) I switched between 1st base and right field on Tuesday and I did pretty good on 1st, but nothing happened while I was playing right field. Anyways today's game, we had to play in at-least-90-degrees weather. Coach let me play 2nd baseman the whole game =). I didn't get anyone out, but I think I did pretty good. I got to bat 3 times: 1st time I hit it toward shortstop and they managed to get me out at 1st base. 2nd time was exactly the same. But the 3rd time, the pitcher pitched it to my foot =) so I got a free run and got home. I asked Coach what the score was and he was like, "Oh, we didn't really keep count." He, unfortunately, is strangely sarcastic so I couldn't tell if he was just goofing off. But the thing is, we really need to have more players on our team! This game, we only had 7 players (whether we forfeited or not, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure we did) and Coach was like, "Tell your friends ok? We really really need more players on our team, even if I gotta go kidnap more players." See what I mean by strangely sarcastic?

I was really tired today and I really didn't want to go to softball practice, but I decided I better go. It really was cold, and in June too! I played 2nd baseman most of the time and coach says he'll probably have me in that spot for the games. Pretty neat, huh? On Monday, we barely had enough players for our first softball game.WE GOT CREAMED. Why? A couple of reasons. The other team had been playing for 2 weeks already and this was only our first game. Our pitcher pitches really fast and so not only did the batters not hit the balls, the catcher couldn't catch any of them either. So that went on and on and in the end (I asked the coach) the score was 26 to 1. Pretty sad, huh? I stood outfield the whole game, daydreaming. Can you believe that game didn't end until 9 PM? (It started at 7) And then on Wednesday, we were going to have another game, but you know how there has to be a minimum of 8 players to play? Well, we only had 7 so we had to forfeit. =(

Today was the last day of school!! Sure, I sound excited, but I really don't think it's sunk in my head yet. I mean, school is actually OVER for 2 1/2 months! Today, we watched part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in Orchestra, got all our writing projects back in English, and played Speed in Reading. It was really fun. I won 17 games of Speed, which was only 3 off from the winner.

Currently, I use the AOL browser. Well actually, I just open up AOL for the internet connection and then use Internet Explorer. =) Anyways, I got bored today so I was exploring around AOL hometown. Wow, am I glad I use Geocities! Geocities is so much better! The PageBuilder's better, has more options and is just easier to use. Why am I talking about PageBuilder and not HTML? Cuz AOL doesn't even let you use HTML! But AOL does have a lot of pictures to use so I'm just going to play around with them. ~~later

I finished my favorite movies page yesterday. Ok, I have this friend Rowaa (icyglitters.dot.nu) and she's new to website making so she makes her website using PageBuilder. I'm trying to convince her not to and use HTML instead. But anyways, she has finals all this week so we can't chat until they're over (she lives in Egypt). Today, all the 7th graders who didn't go to the PASS room this semester went to Anderson's Camp for an end-of-the-year trip. It was ok...the only thing we did was go down the huge waterslide and play miniture golf.

I made a backgrounds page in the you section. I've had like, a ton of backgrounds and I've always wanted to put them on my site, except I couldn't find a javascript that would preview it on the page. Well, I finally figured the code out and my backgrounds page is done! The thing is, the background has to stay white for it to work. Oh well. Sign my guestbook if you luv me...=)

I got rid of the leaving and the etc page. Instead, they are a part of the WWW page. It was a little weird that I never linked anyone, huh? Anyway, I'm thinking about signing up my guestbook at some other site and not Geocities. I mean, the Geocities guestbook is really plain and ugly. So, I'll do that and work on a new layout. Oh, and look at my new toy from Annia.net. Awwwwww...

OMG, I stayed up till 10:30 trying to finish my new layout. The CSS was driving me crazy. I still have to get a couple of things fixed, but you know, I'm quite proud of this panda layout. This is my first time using pop-up and I'm trying to figure out how to, if needed, have an option of not popping it up, you know? Anyways, the splash page was pretty cool, huh? I got the background to not repeat and I love how it looks! Oh yeah, one more thing. Geocities is closing my site on the 17th and 18th, so you'll probably see a "this page does not exist" if you try to visit Hawaii Skyz then. I'm worried about this whole maintenance thing because last time they did this, they got rid of the FTP option. *sigh* Looks like I might have to go for the Geocities Premium Members since that's what Geocities is trying to get the free webpagers to do. (You have to pay for Geocities Premium) Ok well, that's all. Gotta go fix up the layout now. ~~later

Orchestra concert last night. Oh man. We were BAD! Ok see, the other Jr. High orchestra was going a lot faster than we were used to and we kept messing up. Anyway, here is something everyone should know: the geocities counter just plain doesn't work. >.< Well everyone, I've searched around and found a nice counter site with cute counters, okcounter.com! Finally, a counter! lol

I just downloaded MeowPal from www.meowmix.com. What it is is a really cute cat that hangs out on your screen. You can name it, chose what type it is, feed, play, and brush it.The download's pretty small so go ahead and check it out.

I guess everyone just kinda ran out of tricks for april fool's day. Oh well. Nothing much happened today. I'm still trying to get my brain back to function after spring break. I've decided that I've got too much stuff in this little update box so I'll make an archive as soon as I can. I'm working on a new layout and it looks absolutely adorable so far!!

Hey, I'm back from spring break in Salt Lake City in Utah! I guess it was ok. We had planned to hang out at the lake for some time, but one sniff at the salty air and we're like, "Anybody want to get out of here??" =9 So we ended up staying downtown. Went to the Temple Square, capital building, museums, and the Union Station. Didn't really have time to stay that long though. What's kinda disappointing is that school starts tomorrow. =( Anyways, new mystery celeb and I added my toybox below. Go see!

Wow! The CSS thing is working so nicely. =) Um, today was actually a pretty good day. In PE, we did the mile run and the weather was SO much better than the last time we did this. Whew! I got 8.31 minutes, which isn't that big improvement from 2nd quarter. Oh well. Today, of course was 1/2 day at school and for some reason, our school bell kept going off at the wrong times and rang for a lot longer than usual. Anyways, I am SO grateful for spring break. I mean, it's about time we had a break.

I suddenly also am crazy about Lifehouse. I mean, I like all their songs, but once I heard Breathing, I just was couldn't get it out of my head!! So don't be surprised if the next layout is of Jason Wade, the lead singer. =) Right now, yay!!!! It's SPRING!! And to go with it, a new layout. Very simple, once again, but right now I don't have anytime to do anything more fancy. Also, yesterday, I finally figured out that CSS cheat thing where if you wont' have to change every subpage just because of a new layout! I LOVE IT! It makes everything SO much easier. If seems like I haven't updated forever, but I've actually been really working hard. Once, I upload all my graphics, I'll have some wallpaper that I've created (LUV them!) and my new layout will be up soon. We had our orchestra concert on the 11th and my partner wasn't there so I sorta got a solo! (Except our conductor played along with me =6) We got our DWA papers back yesterday and I was so scared but it turned out I got a 5! Cool, huh? Also, there's a dance tonight at school, but I don't think I'm going. Mmm...that's all I think. Oh wait! I suddenly have this new craze with Vanessa Carlton. OMG, she is SO cool, I wish I could play piano like her.

Pretty normal day. We played our first volleyball game in PE. It was ok, except our captain was a poor sport and everyone was yelling and saying so and so cheated or whatever. >.< We watched a video on cloning in science. OMG, it was freaky. I am so against cloning now, but I used to think it was a good idea. I finished The Lost World by Michael Crichton. It was so good!! I am so glad today's Friday.

Trying to think: POETRY Geez, it's a lot harder when you don't have a topic to start you out with. I'm suppose to write a poem for some poetry contest that I signed up for. All I remember is that it has to be 21 lines or less. What can I say? I'm blank on ideas. Can't find a word that rhymes with orange...Anyways, we have a direct writing assesment first thing tomorrow, which I totally don't want to do. Um, I think that's it. Pretty normal Monday. Though I am actually understanding one little part of volleyball: serving. =) We have a written test on volleyball soon so I am preparing to flunk. Anyways, I changed the song you are listening to right now to 3LW's No More, one of my favorite songs ever.

Dot.nu went back to normal. So anyways, this has been a pretty usual week. Ummm...oh yeah, Computeres started on Wed and I got my grades back from Home Ec. I did pretty good except on the pizza lab. I don't see what was wrong with it, but no one else got a good grade on that either. Computers sounds easy enough. Just need to work on my typing and I'll be okay. Updated the Me section a bit. OMG, I want Mandy Moore's CD sooo bad!! Ciao.

Last Friday was the end of the semester at my school so we had our 7th grade outing. We went to Skateland this time and it was FUN! As you know, I am NOT a skate person, but being the crazy person that I am, I decided to try it. Geez! I cannot tell you how many times I fell flat on my butt or rammed into people. I actually got it after a while and concentrated on getting one of my crazy friends, Rachel, to try it. For some reason, it took her a lot longer to get it, yet she didn't fall as much. >.< Oh yeah, one more thing. I went to Jackpot, Nevada on Friday also for one of my dad's boooooring fancy dinners with some company people. We stayed at Cactus Petes and it SUCKED! The hotel and all was ok, but I was so bored. Jackpot's a tiny little place so I couldn't go shop at the mall or anything. So I just sat in my room and watched Charlie's Angels for the gazillonth time. Talk about boring! Yay! Dot.nu went back to normal! Been very very busy creating layouts and it's actually a lot of fun. I'm planning to leave this hamster layout up for a while and then put up my spankin' new V-day layout. It looks REALLY good, that's all I can say now. Ciao.

Not many updates lately; I've been really busy. But I have decided to take this updates box and use it as a blog too. OMG. Today was the geography bee at school. I did SO much better that I thought I would and I GOT 2ND PLACE!!!!! Yeah, I am a little disappointed for not getting 1st, but you know what? I care more about who really deserves to go to the next level of geography bee. I mean, the girl that did win was ok, but...you know. The question that determined it all was something like, what city did some hurricane run through in 2001 or something like that. How was I suppose to know this stuff? So I just took a guess and said El Paso, which was really close cuz the answer was Houston. =(
