Purpose of Government

Just exactly why is it that so many people do not understand the purpose of government? The Preamble to the Constitution of the united States of America states the purpose as do the many state constitutions. Missouris (Article I, Section 2) states it thusly:

That all constitutional government is intended to promote the general welfare of the people; that all persons have a natural right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the enjoyment of the gains of their own industry; that all persons are created equal and are entitled to equal rights and opportunity under the law; that to give security to these things is the principal office of government, and that when government does not confer this security, it fails in its chief design.

Does this mean that rights are protected if the majority wishes rights of the individual to be protected?

Does this mean that security to these things is given only if city officials want to give it?

Does this mean that people in the City of Brookfield do not have the same rights as the people outside the city limits - or other communities - or other states?

Does this mean that people who own their own property have control over it only if the municipal government wishes to allow it?

The answer to each of these is obviously NO!!!

Thus, the problem we face in this community and nation. It is a problem created and perpetuated by officials and officers who do not understand the purpose of government in a Republic, or ignore it, either one of which results in officials committing treason (violation of trust). Governments chief design has failed the people of this state and nation miserably.

Each government entity, whether officer/agent of/appointee/whatever, takes an oath of office to uphold the Constitution for the United States of America. This is the document that secures the rights of the people given by our Creator to each of us individually. These rights may not be voted away or taken away by government. We each are sovereign to all levels of government.

State statutes in support of the rights of the people mandate exactly what authority municipal governments have. The authority extends only to public properties, not private, excepting for the protection of private property. After all, private means not under public control. Any ordinance (or state statute) to the contrary is unconstitutional and, therefore, null and void from its inception and should be ignored by all (16 Am Jur 2d, Section 177).

Stand up for your rights and demand oaths of office be obeyed concerning your privacy and your private property. It is not only your right as the sovereigns of this nation to alleviate governments infringing upon the rights of individuals, it is your duty.

STOP the unlawful invasions of privacy and private property and begin restoring Liberty as it was meant to be.
