The Brady Law - as logically ridiculous as it is ineffectual
One must wonder what legislators think. Or, for that matter, IF they think.
We have had the Brady Law around for many years and it has not resulted in
one proved case to have prevented a real criminal from obtaining firearms. If it had, then crime by use of firearms would be essentially non-existence. The only ones that would occur is when a law-abiding citizen went off the deep end. This, of course, could happen just as well with a knife or hammer or car or some other object converted into a weapon used to commit the crime.
What the yahoos in Congress have never considered is that not all felons are
dangerous criminals wanting to purchase firearms as tools for their trade. Not all felons are people who want to steal from others or kill them. In fact, many felons are leading citizens or at least citizens who are in high offices. But, of course, when they should be convicted of felonies, they arent. Or, if they are, the records are expunged or hidden away so as to not damage their political careers. Case in point - the member of the Bush Cartel that now heads the US Government.
Many who have been convicted of felonies are nothing more than citizens
exercising their constitutional rights. But, the rights have been converted to
crimes by a government out of control. For example, a person using marijuana
isnt a criminal since he doesnt harm another person; he has been made so by
unconstitutional and, therefore, null and void laws. The only true crime here is his rights being infringed upon by a government that acts as a monarch of old. That makes the government the felon.
People who know they do not owe federal nor state nor property taxes and
refuse to pay can be convicted of a felony even though the crime is non-existent
as all three taxes are unconstitutional and no citizen of the 50 states without
foreign earnings may be made liable for them. If convicted for the false evasion of taxes, though, they become a felon normally as the imprisonment of more than a year is met.
But, are they criminals who are likely to use a firearm in committing violent
crimes? Not hardly. Most are well-educated, law-abiding citizens who actually
obey the laws better than the government agencies tormenting them for not
paying taxes that arent due, anyway. Get the guns out of the hands of the IRS
and other government bullies and leave the citizen alone. Afterall, the IRS is in the act of stealing and committing a felon everytime a citizen is punished and/or forced to pay the government any direct tax.
The fact is that most felons who are now in prisons are not people who have
committed crimes against other people. They have been subjected to
man-made, under color of law, laws made by lawmakers who are out of control
concerning rights and completely ignorant of the Constitution and its meaning.
Lawmakers have forgotten that crimes must include a citizen victim, one who has
had his rights infringed upon by another.
Thus, having been convicted of a felony does not mean that a citizen is a
dastardly person intent on harming his neighbors. It does not mean he has
criminal intent, nor that he wants to ravage those around him. It may mean he
has simply been judged by a corrupt judge responding to corrupt laws enforced
by corrupt law enforcement and written by corrupt lawmakers.
Because the Brady Law does absolutely nothing in reducing crime, then all
background checks should cease immediately. Darn, cant legislators think at all
in regards to the Constitution for this union of separate states? Are they actually
as ignorant as they seem, or as stupid and lacking in ability to read and
comprehend what is read? Dont any ever use any facts when considering bills
and laws already made?
And, as for a felon not being able to keep and bear arms, this is so ridiculous
that it would be laughable if it were in a movie. But, it isnt so it isnt laughable -
it is contemptible as to the brain-dead reasoning shown by supposedly intelligent
people - those people who are in Congress and the justice system.
First, criminals who have been convicted will openly carry theirs and get little
retribution against them as it would violate their 5th Amendment rights or some
such crappola. Take the weapon away and they will just buy or steal another.
Second, if this writer had ever been convicted of a felon such as a additive fine
for some stupid acts determined by the state or federal government to be illegal,
he would simply have a friend buy him any arms he wished and then hide the
weapons. Or, he could get firearms, fully automatic, too, from the same place
criminals do - the back streets and alleyways of cities. And, since government
would have made him a criminal all the way around, he would use the weapons
to defend himself against government. So, in this sense, the Brady Law creates
a volatile situation between what is in reality a law-abiding citizen (respectful of
the rights of others) and a government intent on tyrannical control.
Third, since the Brady Law is really nothing more than a means for the
government to track who attempts to or purchases what weapons, it is as
unconstitutional as is trying to prohibit citizens from being armed. (Try to
convince me government doesnt keep records on this) How did any Supreme
Court rule otherwise if not as corrupted as those framing and passing the bill into law?
Fourth, it is too generalized. It targets people who should not be targeted for
deprivation of firearm ownership rights. Besides, if a person does commit a
crime with a weapon, then convict him for the crime but dont convict the
innocent for the crime committed. We do not need some stupid law infringing
upon our rights and the invasion into our privacies by a government that doesnt
even have jurisdiction to do so.
Because it is unconstitutional, the Brady Law must be repealed and steps taken
to destroy all records of all firearm information now held by federal agencies
which havent the authority to obtain, let alone keep, this private information on
the citizens of the 50 states.
Guess what I am saying, Folks, is that we need to get the stupid out of
government - stupid people and stupid, ineffectual laws which only hurt the
backbone of this nation, those vast millions of law-abiding solid citizens who
would not consider violating anothers rights.
These solid citizens are almost the antithesis of those who make the laws.
Perhaps that is why legislators fail to understand firearm ownership has nothing
to do with control of crime other than to decrease it. Since they do not consider
violation of rights when making and enforcing laws, any person who does
consider the rights of others is beyond their comprehension.
Thus, their ignorance in believing solid citizens need be controlled when the
truth is it is themselves that need controlled. Say, wait a minute - Isnt that what
the Constitution is supposed to do - control lawmakers and others in government
and leave citizens alone?
Let us please try to get public representatives who have sufficient intelligence to
read and understand the Liberty secured by the Constitution for the United
States of America. Perhaps, then, we might get unconstitutional laws repealed
with law-abiding citizens not made into criminals by stupid unconstitutional laws
made and/or enforced by ignorant/stupid lawmakers.
But, for Petes sake, dont hold your breath in anticipation.
