The poem by Ms. Lazarus served for years the very principles this nation was founded on and, thus, holds it position of honor within the pedestal on which the Statute of Liberty stands. The statute is intended as a welcome beacon of hope for those who wish to live as all men should live, free and unencumbered by tyrannical governments. Dedicated in 1886, it has served as the symbol for such freedom.

The question is why his heart no longer swells with pride when the writer pictures the symbol in his mind or looks at a picture of the statute. It is much the same when he considers Lady of Justice, known as a goddess of divine justice. This quote from William Penn fairly well sums up the meanings of both symbols -

�Justice is justly represented blind, because she sees no difference in the parties concerned. She has but one scale and weight, for rich and poor, great and small. Her sentence is not guided by the person, but the cause .... Impartiality is the life of justice, as that is of government.�

In God�s eyes we are all created equal. This fact has been well represented in the founding documents of this nation, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution for the United States of America. We are to be treated equally with all unalienable rights fully exercisable and protected by those elected or appointed to serve in government.

But, what does an immigrant or a recently born child to this country now face? True, we are still more or less the country of opportunity, where one may rise from the masses and earn great wealth, or a greater subsistence that one might have earned in another country. But, is this with the assurances of the principles of the Statute of Liberty and Lady Justice holding true and complete?

Let us see.

Use your right of labor to earn the fruits of your labor. But, first, let us, the people in government, take approximately 50 percent of your earnings as a penalty for allowing you to use your labor in the pursuit of happiness. You owe the government for your existence and never forget it.

With the remains, buy yourself an automobile so that you may travel freely over the roadways your labor has bought and maintained. But, first, make sure you pay the necessary fees to the government. Pay a fee for your right to drive but, before you begin operating your automobile, pay another fee to your state to register and license it, pay the tax due on your private property (what the devil does this have to do with operating an automobile), have it inspected even though inspections haven�t any affect on accident reduction, and make sure you pay a fee to an insurance company. In other words, buy permission from the state to use the highways and your automobile.

We, the people in government, will even relieve you of making tough decisions, such as protecting yourself while operating your motor vehicle. We will determine proper safety measures. Since we believe that seat belts save lives, or more likely, because your non-compliance can produce tremendous revenues for the state along with an easily detectable means of providing cause for an unlawful stop during which we can conduct an unconstitutional search and seizure, we demand you wear seatbelts.

We, the people in government, just in case some person is in violation of some unlawful law, will set up roadblocks and spot checks for your papers and other items which aren�t really our business nor within our jurisdiction. But, we know this has (quote)(unquote) solved the problems we government people have created concerning drugs and crime. Mostly, though, it just gives us satisfaction to exercise power we know we really don�t have. We like interfering in your lives and travel and the exercise of our divine power.

Buy your home. But, make sure you pay a fee to us, the people in government, for permission to keep and maintain it. If you don�t pay this fee, then we will, of course, confiscate your home and any other property of value to cover the amount the government deems you should pay it for the right of ownership. And, don�t under any circumstances bring up the inviolability of private property. We will take everything and leave you and your family to fend for yourselves in the streets and alleys of this nation.

We, the people in government, also reserve the right to spy on your home and lives in any manner developed by technological advances. We will even forcibly enter your home without just cause. This applies especially if you ever engage in any activities against what we do. We will do so on the flimsiest of cause and we won�t even knock. Because we know what is best, we will simply knock or blow down the door to your house followed by armed and dangerous government trained attack forces entering it uninvited and without just cause.

You think you have the right to defend yourself and to keep and bear arms for this purpose. Produce a weapon or appear as if you might, however, and we will immediately kill you for threatening these invaders of your home. We will plant evidence, fabricate charges, whatever is necessary to hide our brutal killing and, of course, since we control the courts, there will be no legal recourse taken against those who attacked you in your home.

Engage in any business your talent allows you to engage in. But, before you do, make sure you get permission from the government to do so. Describe your business to it and then pay a fee in order to purchase the right of private business ownership.

If we, the people in government, deem it so, you may even get married. Simply apply for a license to do so, take any tests required, and then pay the necessary fee for obtaining permission.

You will even be permitted to have children. But, if you do, you must get a social security number assigned which places your child in involuntary servitude to the debt the government fraudulently creates with the Federal Reserve system. From that time forward, your child is essentially a ward (servant) of the state and you will do as the government dictates in the raising of your child.

We, the people in government since we know far better than you the education children need, will establish educational standards. True, we don�t really want educated people in the masses and we don�t want any failing, so standards will be low and lowered as needed to assure nearly all graduate which will show the success of government-controlled schools. Never mind that 50 percent of the adult population in the United States of America can�t read. They don�t need to since we will tell them anything they need to know.

We, the people in government, also will allow for you to worship as you see fit. Of course, we will not allow you to express your faith in any way other than what we deem appropriate. So, assure you do not do so. We must have separation of church and state even though this nation is founded on principles of religion and God-given rights recognized and respected for nearly 6000 years. We know best concerning this and, although we would prefer you be godless and without any faith in a supreme being, we know that cannot be forced.

But, we can punish for wrongful worship which, in part, would entail you expressing your beliefs in any manner we deem as inappropriate, and we can promote immorality and debasement. And, as all well know, we, the people in government, serve quite well as role models for unethical, immoral, criminal, and other godless behaviors. And, you, fools that you are, allow us to keep our positions.

In matters of fairness and rights, never mind the Constitution nor the self-evident rights secured by the document. We, the people in government, will tell you which are rights and which are privileges granted only by our permission. God did not know what he was doing when he created Man and gave him God-given rights. We know, however, simply because of our positions in government, what is best for the masses. Besides, the founders were a bunch of fuddy-duddies ignorant of the automatic supra-divine powers transferred to us following our election or appointment to government positions.

Never defend yourself and your rights in court using the Constitution because we are likely to charge you with contempt of court. This will only add to your unlawful fine or imprisonment based on a lawful right being converted by us to a privilege we allow or prohibit. In our opinion, the Constitution has no place in determining justice and we will, through judges who are all-knowing, determine what is justice for you.

And, don�t you ever disagree with a judge. We, the people in government, have given these elected and appointed experts in law and humanity complete plenary control over you. Whatever else you may think justice entails, forget. We will tell you what justice entails and judges are our spokespersons.

And, never, ever bring up any ideas to the contrary of government or any concerns of privacy and well-being. Any doing so are enemies of the state. Such idiots are dissidents, right-wing nut cases suitable only for prison - that is, if we don�t exterminate such terrorists or cultists during arrest.

Do not bring up any fact to the contrary of what we, the people in government, determine is the best course of action for all people (excepting us, of course). Just who do those think they are while engaging in activities such as supporting human rights but against what we, the people in government, have determined to be acceptable behavior of the masses?

Oh, by the way, did we, the people in government, mention - Welcome to America, home of Liberty and Justice for all.

When government reigns over the People, we are not a Republic created by the Constitution for the United States of America. We are, instead, a fascist regime created by those who would destroy God-given rights with the many ruled by the very few.

Perhaps, then, it would be more appropriate to state - Welcome to Gestapo America, home of thinly veiled servitude and injustice for the masses.
