The beauty of the natural setting is found throughout the Sequatchie Valley, but especially here. Natural streams form small rapids on their way across the property, only to be pooled into a large fishing and swimming pond at the entrance to the Journey of Youth ranch.

Descending through the last curve the valley floor and the J.O.Y. ranch property comes into view. The open flat portion of graded land to the left will become the outer bank of the fishing hole and in the distance, a paved entry drive across an earthen dam leads into the J.O.Y. Community Center.
