I got my first rc car in1988. A Tamiya Boomerang. Wish I still had this one, as I have found some NEW spares for it!
The next car I got was a Kyosho Optima Mid Custom. Sorry, no pics. Boy was that a fast one! Started racing with it at Leigh Park,and  Catisfield off-road club.Lovely car!

After getting another Opt. Mid. I had a little windfall, and bought a Tamiya Ta02 Merc 190
and a Kyosho Rampage gp (I.C. Ultima).
The merc gave me a taste of real on-road driving, and as soon as I could, I bought my first true on road car, The Tamiya Newman-Hass Lola (mansell 93) Indycar.
This was a revelation! I won my first ever road race and trophy at the xmas trophy day at the old southampton track. The next car was the AYK Radiant ). I have an original (MINT) AYK/SRM stock motor for this too!
I had given up up off-road for good by then, and bought 3 tamiya f102 F1 cars:Lotus 102, Williams FW14, and the  Footwork Arrows FA13.(still running)
More recently, I got the Tamiya F103LM (98)  Porsche 911gt1, and the TA03 Porsche 911gt1(96).
The last car I have bought was my HPI Pro 2.
Now racing my Footwork F1 and Pro 2  at Southampton racing club.
