   Arthur 1 Hathaway arrived in America, from England, cir 1630. He
settled in Plymouth, MA. and remained there until his death.(N.E.H.G.R. 32-92)

     Arthur 2 Hathaway died Dec 11 1711. His will dated 9 Dec 1709-10 was probated 6 Feb 1711-12. All the children listed except Sarah in his will.
He was married in Duxbury, MA. Nov 20, 1652 to Sarah Cooke. She was the
daughter of John and Sarah Warren Cooke . She was the granddaughter of Francis Cooke and Hester Mayhieu Cooke and Richard Warren. (Mayflower Desc..)
The will of John Cooke of Dartmouth, MA dated 10-9-1694 mentions son-in-law Arthur Hathaway and his wife, Sarah, my daughter (N.E.H.G.R.) new england historical genealogical register.
Thus it is through his wife that all Hathaway descendants are eligible to Mayflower Descendants Society Membership. Plymouth Colony Deeds of 10-12-1661. Mayflower Desc. 16-128 "Arthur Hathaway of Acushena...Planter." Old Darthmouth Historical Sketches #31 by : Caroline W. Hathaway states:"This Society has a tablet in brass in a panel of the doorway: "Arthur Hathaway, Magistrate, died 1711, from a descendant, Thomas S. Hathaway, A83:IV.

       John Hathaway born 17 Sept. 1653 (ply.col.rec.) Died Darthmouth, MA bet. 11 July and 18 Aug. 1732. Married Darthmouth, MA. 15 Mar 1682. Proprietor of Darthouth, list 13 Nov 1694. Births of all 16 children are in the public records of Darthmouth. John's land on west side of Acushnet River (I-95 and hwy 6- New Bedford, MA stills stands today. see map at the heart-other page- several tracts extending W. (200 acres) on Shawnut Ave. on S. side of Hathaway Road to the ledge. Wills quoted in full. Many Bible records, gravestone records: Acushnut, Cemeterys in New Bedford. First 4 generations.

           Arthur Hathaway born Darthmouth, MA> 3 Apr 1690.(ply. col. rec.) Died probably Rochester, MA after June 6, 1733. Married Maria Luce; He was one of the first to settle Rochester, MA.

Simon Hathaway born 26th Dec 1711 Died: Rochester,MA 20 March 1790. Married In Rochester, MA 17th Sept 1736 to Hannah Clifton.--------------con't>
