Tool
Concert_Review
Background - Tool's lunched a large scale arena tour in fall 2001 playing all over the US. Their first in years. Tool played Chicago's Allstate Arena on september 9th. It was sold out. Tickets - $35

I bought my ticket the day of the show from a scalper for $30. I walked in to the floor area with Messuga (or however you sell their name) playing. They were decent. The played old school heavy metal.  After a little will they got off the stage and they set up Tool's gear. After that, Intro music played and all the members of Tool walked and Picked up their gear exept Maynard. He just appered on stage. They Lunched into their set with "The Grudge". They had 3 large screens playing clips durring each song and one smaller one behind Maynard. The band played some of of each album, and almost all of Lateralus. Durring "Scism" The preformance artist from the "Scism" video came onstge and did things from the video. Then the band left the stage and and the "scism artists" pulled themselfs up on ropes and hung in the air as samples played. Tool came back on and continued their set. At one point, Maynard said that the guitarist was from Chicago and had seen concerts there when he was 15. At another point before "Lateralus" Maynard made us take the "Non-Conformist Oath". It still stands as one of the best shows i have ever been to..
