The_Pledge_Of_Allegiance_Tour
Background -  The Pledge of Allegiance tour was name that long before September 11th. It was going to be the first ever, in a tour that would be lunched every year with the top acts in metal, much like the Family Values Tour. The acts on this years tour where No One, American Head Change, Mudvyane, Rammstien, System Of A Down, and Slipknot. Tickets - $35

The chance to see
Slipknot, Rammstien, and System of a Down on the same tour was to good to pass up. the tour was going to kick off on September 14, in Chicago, but them some stupid Sand-niggers had to crash some plains into the world trade center. So they moved it back to the 9th of Oct.
The show was the most intense I have ever been to. The people were mother fucking animals. It was like a mosh convention. lots of fun. I was late getting in to the show and I Missed american head change. When I got in, No On was taking the stage. They were a new band from Chicago. They were ok but little more than standard Nu' metal. Next up was Rammstien. They kicked ass! Fire, Fire, and more Fire. I could tell the crowd liked them dispite the fact that no one was really moshing. I moved around in the crowd alot at this show, but I was close or at the front the whole time. After Rammstiem, I learnd that Mudvuayne had dropped of the tour and that
System of a Down was up next. System Kicked major ass, they played alot of songs in their set. Playing things from both their CD's. They had movie clips playing durring each song. They had a little trouble with the movie clip they tried to play but they got it going. Up next was the mighty Slipknot. for the first time in the show, a curtain went down, blocking view of the stage. Stage crew uncovered the "666" lights that were there the whole time. Slipknot's geat took the longest to set up. they also had the most stage props. Finally, the house lights went down and a extra long version of "(515)" started playing. Strob lights flashed and then the curtain dropped and they Slipknot lunched into "People = Shit" Slipknot did not even look real onstage. It was like seeing aliens or something. By the time they played "Get This" I was all the way to the front. Slipknot really got the place going. and at one point, Corey had the crowd make a massive circle pit (Like a mosh pit, only alot bigger). Corey had a little to say about the terrorist atacks too. Basicly that we should all watch each others backs. Durring "Spit It Out" Corey told everyone to sit on the floor and jump up all at once when he told them to. After "Eyeless" the drummer Joey went into a bitching drum solo. It lasted about 4 min. The kit was on a hydrolic lift and it spun him around and put him at a 90 o angle and then lights on the base made the shape of a pentigram. They played all the songs I hoped they would exept "Me Inside". My person highlight of the so was when I got a drumstick used by Chris Fehn. Slipknot's stage was cool looking and like Manson, their backdrops were constantly changing. Overall the Tour production was good. I liked the fact that they hada screen playing videos between sets. The crowd was nuts too. I would go again and almost did when it came to Peoria, IL. It was one of the best tour I have been to.
