Episode 9: The Last Beautiful Video Shoot, Part Uno
In this episode of As The Match Burns...

Since the release of the band's latest single, "Last Beautiful Girl," us fans have eagerly been awaiting the release of a video. All we know for now is that there isn't going to be a video release.

But that doesn't mean there hasn't been an attempt to make one.

Yes, our beloved boys of Matchbox Twenty set forth to put their vision of "Last Beautiful Girl" to light, yet many tragic events have silenced this chapter in their lives. Perhaps one day we may see a video for the single. Alas, this particular vision was not meant to be. Here though, for your viewing pleasure, is an account of the events that took place during the "Last Beautiful Girl" video shoot.

As always, every episode is written out of fun.  If you're taking this seriously, you probably didn't understand "Mad Season," either, and therefore really shouldn't read this anyway.

Large is surely a relative term.  While tiny compared to a passenger looking out their window on a plane, a skyscraper is gargantuan to a person on the street below.  Though as Adam stared at the large building, he knew it was definitely large to the majority of buildings he had previously been in.  And once this fact had been confirmed by memory, he whipped open the door of the sound stage, and sauntered in, singing at full volume, You won't be the first - toy that I'll break/ You won't be the last - beautiful gnome/ The one that I wrecked - they won't take you back/ If you were the last beautiful gnome in the world!!!

The rest of his compadres in the band looked up from a plate of Kyles Cookies on a food table, flabbergasted, and Kyle dropped a cookie on the floor.  Christ on crutches, that was AWFUL, Gaynor! For God's sake, take a singing lesson or two!

Rob shook his head in shame.  And, while you're at it, try not to mutilate any more of our songs. Besides, I thought you were over that gnome phase!

I AM.  But that doesn't mean I didn't learn anything from it!  I want to express those feelings!  Oooh, cookies Adam said, as he approached the plate of cookies, only to have a hungry Brian in his way.

Give him some credit, Robhe's not the only one to express a feeling or two, Brian mumbled as he munched a Kyle Cookie, and reached for another.

Swallowing the one he was polishing off, and reaching around Brian for another cookie, he handed it to the ever-increasingly impatient Adam.  I'm still reeling from Angry!

HEY!  There is a difference between expressing your feelings over being gypped at Starbucks and singing about it and taking a song and warping it! Rob exclaimed, gesturing with his cookie.

Adam smiled as he bit into the savory sugar cookie covered with strawberry icing and chocolate sprinkles.  Yes, but that's a difference you've obviously ignored.

Har de har har HAR, Rob said, as he threw his cookie at Adam, to which he caught gracefully in his teeth.

Thanks, babe, Adam said, winking slyly, and infuriating Rob.

Skank! he cried, ready to kick some Gaynor ass.

I sense hostility.  I like, Brian said, lighting a cigarette.  More, please.

Yeah, I wanna take pictures! Paul chimed in.

Kyle simply smacked his forehead, and wondered where they all went wrong.  Why was he the only normal one?  Today, anyway.
