Psalm 62 (63) 2-9

Ant. 1

Ordinary: From early morn I seek you Lord, that I may see your strength.

Advent: On that day the mountains shall rain a new wine, and the hills shall issue forth milk and honey, Alleluia.

Christmas-tide: Tell us, oh shepherds, whom have you seen, who has appeared on earth? We have seen the Lord who has been born, and the hosts of angels praising him, Alleluia.

Easter Sunday: Christ has risen from the dead and has enlightened his people, whom he has redeemed with his blood, halleluia.

V Sunday of Easter: Let whosoever is thirsty come: let him take for free of the life-giving waters, halleluia.

Oh God, you are my God, I seek you.

My soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you,

As in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,

Beholding your power and glory.

Because your steadfast love is better than life,

My lips will praise you.

So I will bless you as long as I live;

I will lift up my hands and call on your name.

My soul is satisfied as with a rich feast,

My mouth praises you with joyful lips,

When I think of you on my bed,

I meditate on you in the watches of the night;

For you have been my help,

In the shadow of your wings I sing for joy.

My soul clings to you;

Your right hand upholds me.

Let them praise his name with dancing,

Making melody to him with tambourine and lyre.

For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;

He adorns the humble with victory.

Let the faithful exult in glory;

Let them sing for joy on their couches.

Let the high praises of God be in their throats,

With two-edged swords in their hands,

To execute vengeance on the nations,

Punishment on the peoples;

To bind their kings with fetters,

Their nobles with chains of iron;

To execute on them the judgment decreed.

This is glory for all his faithful ones.
