Harwinton Tanker 5
Harwinton Tanker 5 was purchased and equipped entirely without
town tax money. This vehicle was placed in service in 1988.
The tank was designed by the fire department and purchased from Amthor's
of Walden NY. There is no pump in this vehicle, it dumps it's 2200
gallon water load into a portable pond in less than 2 minutes, and heads
off the scene to get filled.
