This experimental soundscape project stems from an interest in the connections between music, communication, and the relationship of humans to the Earth.
Local Albuquerque residents are invited to create their own sonic representations of specific locations in and around the metropolitan area.
Using digital recording, processing, and web streaming technology, these "soundscapes" will become a series of public installations that transplant participants' subjective experience of place to various other locations in the 505 that are remote from the sounds' geographic roots. |
