| Beth Yip is a multi-tasking musician who currently studies music theory/ composition as a graduate student at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She was born and raised in New Mexico before going on to earn her BA in trombone performance from The Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY. Beth has performed in various styles with ensembles in New Mexico, Colorado, New York, Illinois, Maine, and internationally in England and Mexico. She has presented her masters thesis work on composer Pauline Oliveros and alternative approaches to music analysis at conferences in Montreal and Indiana, and has recently been a co-organizer of and participant in Unheard Of, a series of music and art events involving artists from UNM, Santa Fe, and greater Albuqueruque area communities. | |||||
