| April 2009- It has been a long time between updates! Since August Shimmy's SE son Shukri has gone to live with Nikki Henneken of Touens Park Stud. We have received word that Salomie is in foal to Niarla's SE stallion Jaytee Tajay, we look forward to hearing about the resulting foal later in the year! News here is mixed, unfortunately in March Shimmy had a flare up of his leg infection. He has finished a month long course of antibiotics and is so far doing well, we hope and pray this continues but it is still early days. On a brighter note his getting sick again forced me to bring forward my search for a suitable SE mare to breed to him and we are pleased to welcome Halimas Jamantha to Hartz. |

| August 2008 - We are not expecting any foals here this season which in one way is kind of sad as the anticipation of the birth is all very exciting! However I do like that my feed bill will not be increasing, especially with hay being so expensive! Shimmy continues to do very well after his surgery. He is showing no ongoing lameness but does have a very enlarged hind fetlock and we imagine this will not change, thankfully it is not impairing his movement at present. We hope he will still be with us for a long time to come. |

| May 2008 - We are relieved to say that Shimmy is doing really well after the surgery on his leg. He recently went for some frozen semen collection and he froze very well which was another relief! Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes for Shimmy during the time he was at the hospital. Salomie has arrived at her new home in Qld at Niarla Arabians. We wish them all the best with her and I know she will have some stunning foals to Niarla's SE stallions! |

| April 2008 - At the moment we are going through a bit of a rough patch with Shimmy being very ill from an infection in his hind leg. He is currently at the Werribee Equine Centre receiving treatment and we hope he will be rid of the infection and back home with us soon. | |||||||||||||||||
| February 2008 - This week we went to visit our good friend Ruth at Slipstream Stud. It was such a hot day I didn't get to visit with all the horses but I enjoyed meeting her new mare Mahari (imp Germany) and as always it was lovely to see Shimmy's son Angelo (pictured right). | |||||||||||||||||
| October 2007 - Our second and last foal has arrived. A gorgeous bay/grey colt by Shimmy out of our SE mare Lolly. He has inherited his father's beautiful nature (and curly ears!). Shimmy's first foal for 2007 was a black/grey colt born at Slipstream Stud. |

| June 2007 - We welcomed our son, Joshua, to the world on the 27th of April. He is an angel, but very time consuming! In May we went to Werribee to watch Shimmy's daughter Waldfrieden Shameesa (pictured left) at the All Breeds Foal Show. We are so excited about this fillies future! She was placed 3rd in her class shown by Michelle Lando and she placed 2nd and Reserve Champion when shown by Michelle's daughter Elouise in the Amatuer classes. |
