All the data in chapter 3,4,5 has been compiled from the books. This data helped us to understand 'the water as a whole'. It gave us the required ground for further work. For the practical work we chose our town Bulandshahr as survey region. Here we selected different types of colonies ranging from old to newly developed and lower to higher income group level. We prepared a suvey paper, divided us in two teams. We were welcomed everywhere. We discussed various problems related to water and made them understand the importance of water. And how they should save rain water going into the drains. The colonies were:
Built up city area, Satha, Deputy ganj, Gandhi Chowk, Shivpuri, Civil Lines, Hari Enclave Colony, Adarshnagar, Lakshminagar, Teacher's Colony, Gyan lok Colony, DM Colony, Sushila Vihar, Devi Pura, Krishnanagar.
Besides this we also took interviews of the officials of the agencies related to water. They were:
* Sh. B.C. Ghosh, CEO, NTPC HYDRO
*Sh. S.N. Rawat, SDO, Irrigation Department, Bulandshahr.
*Scientist Sarvesh Rai and R.K. Ojha, PTL, Greater Noida.
