STORY 1 - June 29th, 2005 KELLI MCCARTY (BETH) TO EXIT!
From a deicison to go with the flow of the current storyline situation, the character of Beth Wallace is no longer needed. Therefore, Kelli McCarty has been let go from the show indefenitely. It is known to be an indefinite exit due to the hints that her character may be needed in the future, just not the near future. McCarty first appeared in the recurring role of Beth Wallace in 1999. She was then offered a two-year contract from 2002 to 2004. After August 2004, her role was then dropped back to recurring. Beth Wallace has been seen quite a lot lately despite it being a current recurring role. Now, in the summer of 2005, her role has been dropped completely. Her last airdate is scheduled to be Monday, July 18th. McCarty is, of course, disappointed at this decision but respects it and realizes these type of things come along in the acting industry. Due to the same decision, McCarty's on-screen mother, Edna Wallace, is also a character making an exit. Edna Wallace has been played by Kathleen Noone. Noone's last airdate has not yet been confirmed. The characters of Beth Wallace and Edna Wallace are not the only characters in Harmony's past to have been dropped due to storyline decisions. Others include Antonio Lopez-Fitzgerald, Grace Bennett, David Hastings, and John Hastings. |
