What can I do to help?

A good education begins in the classroom; whether is ever becomes a GREAT education depends on how much personal study a student follows up with.
Achievement in school is directly related to the amount of home study a student does - unless you have a child prodigy.
Students should spend 2-4 hours a night on homework depending on their grade, their section level, and the difficulty of their lessons.
If students can not handle the work load of high school, it is unlikely that they can succeed in college.
If there is one thing you can do as a parent that will help make your child's education worthwhile, it is to insist that sufficient time is set aside for home study. Create limits for all the following on school nights: social engagements, telephone, television, video games, jobs, and uneducational computer usage.
