Saturn, the Mouse in our House
This little mouse had quite an adventure when he first came to our house. The first day he played with Serena as she made little mazes and tunnels for him to crawl through.  But that night, as he went to sleep in his cage, we didn't realize that the door to Serena's bedroom was left open.

The next morning , when I went to wake Serena up, I looked for Saturn in his cage on top of her dresser-But the cage was gone!!.  I looked on Serena's bed thinking that she probably had the mouse in bed with her. That is when I saw the cage on the floor, it was in pieces - busted apart. It had been made of plastic that just snaps together. Well, I woke up Serena and explained that the Cat must have gotten Saturn during the night and killed him.

Well, Serena wanted to look for the the body.  I heard her calling from the living room,  " Mommy come quick,! I think he is alive." I ran to her knowing that if the mouse were still alive it wouldnt be for long. Serena pointed to the little mouse who was up inside the recliner. He was just shaking like a leaf!! Poor thing. I was afraid to reach for him- as I thought he would run away and be caught by one of the three Rat Terriers that were now sitting there waiting.   I reached my hand out and the little mouse climbed onto my palm. I handed him to Serena.  He was totally unharmed except for being scared. I told my daughter that he was not only a very lucky mouse to have survived a night with a cat and three Rat Terriers, but also one very sweet and smart little mouse to come right to me.
