(Dino cont)
While another sees you blasting water based Dinos.  Furthur variety comes in the form of underwater sections where your character (Regina shes called) is in a diving suit, so movement is restricted, and she can jump underwater.  This variety is all good and the game as a whole improves on the first one, but essentially it is a small game, and after the first 7 or 8 plays through it gets boring.  Overall- not really a survival horror, more a shoot em up/horror hybried, good if you can overlook its shortness. So 7.0/10.

Devil May Cry
This game was originally supposed to be set in the Resident Evil storyline.  Sorry I had to get that out of the way.  Like Dino Crisis 2 this is more of a action game than a survival horror.  The character you play as in the game is a half demon/half human called Dante.  He has been called to a mysterious castle by a woman called Trish who says something about evil awakining there or something. For a change the character you play as looks cool (compared to the Chris Redfields and Harry Masons). He has a cool long red coat which billows out behind him as he leaps impossible gaps, and features cool silver hair.  Due to his demon side he is also very strong, several times through the game in cut scenes he gets impaled on swords etc but always manages to escape unscathed.  The fights in the game are truly brilliant, Dantes main weapon is a sword with this all sorts of combos can be pulled off.  Also he starts off with twin pistols (with infinate ammo) these used in conjencture with his sword are amazing. Having sliced a bad guy up into the air you can then use your pistols to shoot the hell out of him before somersaulting over and then bringing your sword down on his exposed back.  The weapons are mostly fantastic, and a joy to use.  The shotguns reloading noise is perfect, and being surruanded (aggh bad spelling!) by enemies then blasting them away with your grenade launcher is very fun.  The enemies are also good, to start with wimpy possesed puppets are the main enemy but later on lizard men, giant insects and demons pop up.  The bosses are also brilliant, and do that cool thing of appearing at different points throughout the game again and again.  The best boss has to be the dark Knight whose moves are similer to your own, the giant chicken and giant spider are also fun to fight.  For each enemy you destroy points are given which can be used to upgrade weapons etc.  The game is split up into missions rather then one big game, so at times it feels very linier.  The difficulty setting for this game is awful.  On easy the game is stupidly easy and many bosses are left out, on normal however it is a nightmare to do and really is no fun at all as (well i did anyway) you will spend all your time cursing at the stupid game and end up selling it.  Overall it is average game with some brilliant ideas let down by a wierd difficulty.  Lets hope Devil may Cry 2 is an improvement.  6.9/10.  I havn't played the 2nd one but apparantly its even worse, whoops!
Resident Evil- The Remake
Damn this game is good looking!  Though a remake there is enough new areas to make this game a worthwhile one , rather then a exact copy.  The graphics are obviously far far better then the ones on the original playstation version.  The game is also made harder by the emergence of crimson zombies.  Normal zombies now have to be double killed.  When they die the first time you have to either burn them using the petrol contained in rooms around the house, or decapetate them, otherwise they turn into psycho zombies, and we dont want that.  The new sections and bosses are very good, this is a great game so i will instead concentrate on the bad points.  The lab at the end of the game is stupid as not only does it require its own disk to load it, it also looks virtually identical to the original one, making it seem rather pointless.  The caves are brilliant looking now, and fun to do compared to the boredom of the original ones, coincidently I have been to this castle somewhere in Scotland which had a small set of man made caverns looking just like the ones in this game (well sort of).  A pointless in my opinion new section is this 20 mile walk to a cabin, it is sooo boring and seems to be there just to make the game longer to complete.  Another stupid thing is the abysmal endings, even worse then the originals, least that had film endings.  A whole disc used just for the labs, you would have thought they would have put in a really cool ending, yet as it is Resident Evil still has the worst ending of any Resident Evil game.  Yeah I know I've whinged about this, but it is a better game then the original, the majority of new sections are good, and the game as a whole is much harder then the original, so 8.5/10.
Resident Evil 0
This is the game Capcom said was going to answer all the questains fans wanted to know about the series origins...um well it doesn't.  Personally i think Capcom messed up, they should have got me to do the story to this game, as it is it raises more questains then answers, and as such the story suffers.  A new method of control was introduced for this-character zapping.  Rather then play through the game twice with the 2 different characters (Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen) you play through using both characters at the same time (i mean that you can change characters any time by pressing the zap button.  This works ok i guess, though i really am not a fan of this.  Another skank up was the removal of item boxs.  Characters can now drop items to make room in thier inventorys.  I know it was unrealistic but i want the item boxs back!  I swear i spent most the bloomin game running backwards and forwards collecting items i had left behind, i really hated backtracking through the whole game to pick up some stupid tool i thought i would never need again, aaagh.  Anyway the story concerns Bravo team as they potter about doing....stuff.  Rebecca, a member of the team finds Billy Coen- an escaped convict, they team up to escape?  I may be a bit thick here but it really wasnt that well explained what thier aim was.  One cool thing of this game is the cutscenes with William Birkin and Wesker, and Marcus.  This game introduces a lot of new baddies, which is always a good thing, these include-giant bugs, zombie monkeys!(dissapapinting [my god i cant spell!!]), and leech zombies.  Locations include a train, yet another mansion type building and a sewage works but i did enjoy exploring the locations, specially some familier ones!.  The token Tyrant and obigilatory count down also make an appearance.  For more info on this, watch the film 'night of the creeps' as capcom blatently stole the entire leech part of the story from it, honestly this game should have been called 'night of the creeps-the game'.  Anyhows I did enjoy this game, the controls are responsive, music ok and locations interesting, and it is harder then resident evil remake.  It could have done with alternate endings, a good resident evil game, but not the best, 8.3/10
Hello there lol, sorry erm yeah alcohol, lol
Resident Evil: Dead Aim
Well here it is the forth game in the almighty (lol) gun survivor series, but wait! It;s the best of the lot!!  The game this time is back to the Resident Evil universe, the year 2002 and Umbrellas still skulking about.  A Americain agent is sent by the government to infiltrate this cruise liner taken over by an ex-Umbrella emplyee 'Morphius' (i think someones been watching too much matrix), being the agent he is Brad (the character you play) is instantly caught, but this makes for a cool intro to the game.  So like Resi Evil-Gaiden the action takes place on a boat, but using the cool g-con 2.  The gun is ideal for controling the character as well as shooting, controls are all good.  Unlike previous GS games you dont have infinate bullets! My spelling is soo bad, lol.  The story is quite good (well i thought it was!!) though it seems wierd that Umbrellas still alll powerful 4 years after Chris uttered the famous words "Umbrellas going down!!!!!!!!!" (or was it Leon? ah who cares, lol.  The game features absolutly loads of new baddies, some stolen from the twisted world of silent hill, and the infamous tyrant(s) make thier reappearance as well as the deadly unexpected FINAL COUNTDOWN before everything explodes in a neon carthagic silvery deathmetal meltdown (yeah!)  There is only 3 different characters in the game which is not good, the more characters the better i say! But you are able to write long messages with bullets on the walls which is always good.  The game is also quite long i thought (well it is for a light gun game, and i think its longer then resi 2 [like thats hard to do])   Well yeah, its worth beating just to hear the cool credits song (with lyrics!) i dont wanna give locations or story away
