This helps your child develop an understanding of their world and encourages creativity. Music and Movement - A large selection of musical instruments is used to teach early music. The children learn music and participant in musical games and dance activities - all of which helps your child develop coordination. We sing in English and Hebrew. In addition we have a special Hebrew "Music Chug" weekly with a wonderful music teacher who comes in and dances and sings with the kids. Early Science - Through experimenting and observations we have weekly science projects and themes, such as growing seeds, experimenting with magnets and mirrors. Construction Toys - Lots of different construction toys in the gan - cars, trucks, boats, blocks and legos - aids in coordination development and imagination. Early Math and Language - In our loving and relaxed atmosphere your child will learn numbers and language. If your child does not already know English we use specialized teaching techniques which will help them start to understand English around six weeks after starting gan. As the year progresses the children learn letters though the use of phonetic teaching and activities, and lots of alphabet games and worksheets. We also have a computer in the gan with a child-friendly keyboard, where English is learned thru songs and games. Practical Life Experiences - Children love to help everywhere, and we always encourage them to take an active part in the every day-to-day running of the gan as much as we can. Helping to set up the tables for meals, preparing fruit, helping to serve food, etc. is fun and education for the kids! In addition, through hands-on experience, the children are really an integral part of their gan. |

| Alison came to Israel in 1996, met her husband and settled in Tel Mond. She then studied language acquisition for children from bi-lingual families - specializing in ways to successfully teach children two languages. In 2000 Alison fulfilled her dream and opened up Happy Days Gan. Happy Days was the first English speaking gan in the area. In 2004 Happy Days moved to larger premises. In addition to Alison there are also wonderful, warm assistants at Happy Days. The ratio is approximatley 1 assistant to 6 children. All of the assistants have lots of experience working with children and are all English speakers. |
